CT101 Final and 13th post.

CT101 Final and 13th post

The things that I have learned in this class are a lot, from making a website to getting a domain and the us of gifts. One the first thing that I learned were the uses and different tools that the CT101 website can give you, in order to make you blog posts. Something that I learned is the method that I almost never used prior to entering to the class its the use of Hyperlinks and Gifs  to tell my stories and give context to people. Never before I have personally thought about creating or designing a website, however in CT101 I learned how to make one with the use of WordPress  with my own domain, which is a term(Domain) that I never use or truly understood prior to entering the class, however I do believe that I could improve on designing my website. 360 degree photos is one of the best/favorite things that I learned in this class, since I was quite used to see it on places like google maps but never truly dig into how is it done, but thanks to professor Ryan Seslow  I finally learn how is done through your phone.

I personally believe that deserve a grade of A-B, since I have 13 assignments/blog post publish(this one counted) and 18 comments, plus my website and domain completed and submitted.

I will probably apply these new skills in the real world on my assignments from others classes, for example hyperlinking terms to their meanings and sources, and adding some of the images related to their own specific topic, another example of me using the skills that I learned, will be creating a website for a company or someone that might require me to do as a job, and the last new skill learned that I could potential, use will be the 360 panorama if I want to do a project and they require me to have picture on it, I will probably do a 360 panorama in order to show a better view of a place.

The reason why I will not keep my domain is pretty simple, its because I think its a great name (RealEstateAtGreatRates) for a domain and for a company therefore, I will let it go since I believe that at some point or another, someone will likely pick that name for their company and website online.

My first frustration on my website was by using the twenty-twenty-two template, since it was super confusing and sometimes I couldn’t find some of the features that I wanted to use for my website, therefore I decided to change it to twenty-twenty template which became easier for me to use.  my successes were quite a few after I changed templates, for example I manage to create blog post that didn’t need to be click in order to see them, I had a search bar which I didn’t had, I could finally add pages on my top panel for me to add an Contact me and an About me.

TOUR

Inside of my website there is a good variety of blog post and pages where you can find information and recommendations to get into real estate, one of these pages being my key aspect page where I discuss the different and important aspects of a house.

Another page/section inside of my website that I have created is The best websites to look into houses on., the list of websites, that can help you with to find the right place to find your right house, this list has 20 different websites listed and hyperlinked for you to look into their description and what kind of feature do they have, since different people have different preference when it comes to what they want I offered a good amount of variety to the list so you can find the website which is the best suited for you.

Housing prices across the states is a section that looks into the differences prices throughout different states throughout the country, and measure the prices through the median house price and its monthly mortgage per each state, for example the highest median price was found on the state of 155,800 which can be consider “cheap” at a national level.

and of course I added a Contact me and an About me so visitor can know who am I and if they ever wanted reach to me, my contact me contains my yorkmail.

Assignment 12: Exploring Websites

After reviewing some of my classmates’ websites, I got a good look at how creative they all are. Some of them gave me a lot of inspiration regarding the design of my website, what kind of artwork or photos to use, or even how to format my own website.

I particularly looked at Stella’s website: https://aquicklaugh.com/ and Duojay’s website: https://madeinyourlikeness.com/home/. Stella’s website is a place to go for a laugh. She has a good structure for the different gifs; very organized, and clean looking. The content itself was clear and fun to read. Overall, easy on the eyes, which I like but also very creative and fun material. My favorite post was Lore of the Memes.

Duojay’s website was a fun one to explore. I loved the artwork in the background; it really looks like an artist’s website. Simple and easy to navigate as well. There’s also great and interesting content. I specifically enjoyed reading, “The Farthest Star Has Just Been Discovered.” I’m looking forward to revisiting and seeing what more I can learn from it.

The third website I looked at was Niko’s: https://nikobalkaran.com/. Niko’s website is really business professional. Pleasing on the eyes, and looks very organized. He also has a great layout. I hope to do something similar to my own website.

Overall, everyone has been doing a great job and I’m looking forward to more blog posts and reviewing the critiques of my own!

Assignment # 12

A website that caught my attention was Fatema’s website http://love2explore.net/# . I really like the way she customizes her website. and her post about “Most favorite destination”. I also like how well the colors complement one another.

Another website I like the most was Elizabeth’s website https://cookwitheliz.org/ . I enjoy how she personalizes her website and I like the ‘Icon- cook with Eliz’ on her website. In addition, Her post about healthy food is really informative.

Assignment #11

PANORAMIC!!!!!!!!

Seems Familiar GIFs | Tenor

Whenever I make anything art related even if its just a small picture I sill want it to tell a story.

Campfire Song Song GIFs - Get the best GIF on GIPHY

At first I was a bit worried because when it comes to making art I come up with too many ideas

Spongebob Panic GIFs | Tenor

I took a breather and was able to put out the fire

Spongebob Fire GIFs | Tenor

buuuuuut I was still was panicking a bit because I still had to put things together

Season 3 episode 8 bob esponja GIF - Find on GIFER

I tried to tell a story with an apple, I know it seems silly but I wanted to see if I could make a panoramic that shows a good apple and a rotten apple .  After trying to take the picture which took some time, I tried to some edit, to make it look like there were tiny worms. I didn’t want to edit too much because I wasn’t sure if it was allowed or would  change things too much

Panoramas and Storytelling

I truly believe the possibilities are endless when it comes to using a panorama to tell stories. However, I had a pretty hard time trying to set up the image while also having to move around to change each new frame.

ME TRYING TO GET EVERYTHING DONE QUICKLY

For my first few images I didn’t really have a story that I related them to, I just thought they would make pretty cool photos. I took a drive through Manhattan with my family and we ended up at Riverbank State Park where there were these bold blue lights so how could I not document the moment? With only a couple minutes to work with (because we were just passing by) I did my best to explain the concept to my sisters (thanks guys).

My younger sister, on one hand, was overly excited so she kept running too far back into the previous frame causing the image to be a bit distorted:

My older sister on the other hand, was better at understanding the boundaries, so the shots were a lot more clean but less energetic lol:

Despite the differences in each photo, I absolutely love how both of them turned out. They’re kind of like polar opposites: chaotic and calm.

My second idea was a pretty last minute one. I decided to take a few people from my Friends Lego set [fun fact: every Christmas my mom and I build a lego set] and a stuffed animal to create this image:

I tried to get more than just 2 frames in the image but it was a bit difficult having to move everything around in a timely manner. Also I chose to use the shadow of the stuffed animal because it was more ‘scary’ that way. Honestly, who would be scared of this:

What a marvelous setup, I know right? A 15lb dumbbell, a tv remote, 4 lego people and a stuffed animal.

First Website Post

First Website Post

Hey guys, I recently uploaded my first post on my website: brownecorner.com, I’d love it if you go check it out and leave a comment! Here’s a little sneak peek of what it is, I hope you enjoy it!

“I took to the internet to find out what are some things you usually ask a person when you first meet them. Some were hilarious and others would simply make the situation more awkward, luckily I found this article: 27 Questions to Ask Someone You Just Met.”

Assignment #12

A website that stood out to me was Stella’s “https://aquicklaugh.com/ ” because I was shock that the website name was available. All the good ones are usually taken. Your website showed meme culture and I like that about it, I screenshot this one from your site because I have seen this image being used by so many age groups.

This image became a new meme because the video itself was seen by many

Another one that stood out to me was by Fatema’s website “https://love2explore.net/#” it is also a great website name that I am shocked is not taken. I really think the website is beautiful and I also love how good the colors work together

Assignment #12 Share your Website’s URL & Some Social Media Fun

Share your Website’s URL & Some Social Media Fun

Hey guys this is the Last Assignment before the final blog, it’s been a wonderful fast journey, to say the least.

For this assignment, I had the chance to discover some of my classmate’s websites.

The first website I visited and left a comment on is Duojay’s website  https://madeinyourlikeness.com/ The main slogan on the website is “Dive into the inner world”, I thought that for a minute. In the Inner world everything that occurs in our minds, such as our thoughts, emotions, feelings, beliefs, and so on, whereas in the Outer world is our physical reality and the situations and circumstances that occur to us.  He wants to display to reflect on things from his perspective with animation art and space.

SPACE IS IMPORTANT for the outer world!!!

The study of the cosmos provides us with a significant shift in perspective. We gain context for comprehending our own world when we learn about what exists beyond it. Examining the other planets in our solar system and beyond reveals that Earth is a valuable refuge for life. It’s interesting because our perspective and opinions on space are expandable there are much research and information in today’s life system. We can look at Elon Musk SpaceX and Jeff Bezos’s Blue Origin spaceships going into the outer world. The blogs about space can include many interesting facts and opinions which can be expanded and researched for years to come.

Another classmate’s website that interested me in their post was Stella’s website URL- https://aquicklaugh.com/

Stella’s website displays the work of our CT101 course and combines it with her own humor. It’s creative and impressive to see the improvements in how we progressed through the journey of creating Memes and GIFs. Personally, I learned to respect the creativeness of Memes and GIFs, I felt it is overused and not art. However, the work of creating and trying to be creative and making an image or a trend of real-life situations humorous. It can be a challenging feat to accomplish with Memes and GIFs because either you make it great or your work and it has no meaning to it.

ICONIC MEMES are used in our daily life we can express and create almost anything to get a reaction from them. This website has great potential for creativeness and humor that can reflect in our lives. Maybe a person who might have a bad day can come across this site and find some humor and it might lighten them up. Great work !!!

Assignment #11 Panoramic Storytelling & Multiplicity

In this post, I will tell you a story. Using the Panoramic image I took!!!

Jamaica Multiplex Cinemas, when the RKO Alden Theatre closed in the 1980s, this theatre reopened on May 17, 2002, as part of the new Jamaica Center. The Valencia Theatre, one of the Loew’s Wonder Theatres, was once located in Jamaica, which had nearly twenty theatres. It has Neighborhood movie house with multiple digital screens, stadium seating & expanded concessions. For years I would come to watch movies on release nights entertainment to the fullest. Dr. Strange the movie came out today its only two shows left I must try to make it to the 3:00 PM show because if it’s too late I will not finish my project assignment due at 11:59 PM.

Its 2:40 PM I’m driving to the theater as fast as I can, I must find parking first and also, I had to purchase the ticket for the movie. Guess what happens it ….

Yes, it was raining, lucky I had an Umbrella….

10-minute left till the movie starts I rush to the counter to buy the ticket; The lady tells me sorry tickets are sold out for this show and there are no seats available.

It was sad to not be able to go in and watch the movie on time and I was frustrated at myself for being too late and last-minute decisiveness. I felt hopeless and regretful to making it so fast in the rain and wasted my time coming here so fast. As I walk towards the elevator, I see my friend Angel my classmate from my previous college. I say, “Hey how are you” he says, “Hi and says his in a rush to scan his ticket for the movie, I quickly tell him “Enjoy the movie” he says “did you watch it already” I said “No I was trying to purchase the ticket but they are filled seats and all are sold out. He told me “Hey don’t worry come with me I will get you in, my girlfriend bailed on me because she couldn’t make it due to the rain, I can scan her ticket for you”.

WOW I GOT TO WATCH THE MOVIE !!!

He helped me take my Panoramic images for this assingment also.

LUCKY RIGHT!!!

Assignment #4 DS106

Assignment #4 DS106

This is the first assignment, I ch0ose this example

The steps I take in completing this assignment was first, I started looking through Bob Ross painting and finding the best one I admire.

Photo used for assignment 1Assignment 1 photo

The animal that will make this imagine pop

In order to start the process, I begin with opening up photoshop

then proceed with uploading the two imagines

Moving forward, I begin by outlining the dolphin with the object selection tool so that the dolphin can be placed onto the landscape image.

After doing all the necessary adjustments,

Here is the final result

After getting this beautiful result, I wanted to play around with some colors to see how the dolphin would stand out in this image.

I love the representation of the red, it just reminds me of tropical countries that experience a shade of this color when the sunset in the evenings. This photo relaxes my mind each time I look at it. I enjoy every moment of this assignment.

I am interested in this project that was presented on the Ds106 website

I found this video assignment project that I would like to learn. I always watch Tik Tok videos and wonder how people edit their videos a certain way especially when it comes on to animals. I love watching puppy videos and the editing skills some people have persuade me on doing these types of videos with my pet.  This is a task I will challenge myself on in my free time.

Assignment #12

Internet GIFs | Tenor

The website I chose to explore would be Stella’s site. Her website is about memes, and I can tell you guys it gave me a quick laugh. She made her meme while showing me some good ironic memes to show the people how the memes evolved.  I love the layout of her website and how she labeled them to tell us which category these memes belong in.

When it comes to memes, they always should be straightforward, which is what she did; she formatted them where it will be approachable and easy to figure out the picture. I can’t wait till she posts more memes!

Assignment #11

Degree nightsky GIF on GIFER - by Hudor

It’s fascinating how a single picture can tell an essential meaning to something, and it can tell you a lot. This was a fantastic assignment where we used our creativity to showcase a story through a panoramic view.

For our first picture, I would call this panoramic view fighting back because, on the left, it mainly shows the tall students fighting the little guys, and on the right, the little guys stood up for themselves and fought back against the bullies.  The message is you have to fight back with your strength if someone tries to bully you. (I am the student in the red hoodie :D)

This photo is called “social than media” because, on the left, it tells us that people are dancing/socializing with each other, while on the right, it shows that everyone is paying attention more to their phones than each other. The best to describe this photo would be pre covid vs. post covid because before being isolated for more than a year, we hung out and needed not to worry about a virus but then covid happened. Everyone separated themselves to avoid the virus and invested time on their social media.

Here is another Pano Project that I found it it’s pretty cool!. > Link

Panoramic Storytelling…

When we first learned about panoramic storytelling in class and were given this assignment, I knew that it was my time to shine until reality set in as per usual. Though I didn’t have a specific story I wanted to tell with my pictures, I felt that it would come to me while working with a group of people. Based on my pictures below, I did not have a group of people. For a first-timer and many failed attempts, I feel like I did a pretty decent job if I do say so myself.

Well, what happened to your group of people you may be wondering. I’m glad you asked. let’s just call this… the story before the story.

Hmmm I wonder how I’m gonna take these pictures I thought to myself. Who’s gonna be in it? What story am I telling? I need a big space for movement obviously. Okay, I got it. I’ll just ask my friends if they wanna hang out Tuesday after class so they could help me with my project. Luckily, they all agreed and when Tuesday came I never felt more ready to take pictures despite my hands always shaking. Long story short, we did not take the pictures but got burritos instead…

Now time for the actual story…

I call it Posh Parker

Ever since he was a kid, Eli hated the park. But it wasn’t the park alone, it was anything nature-related. He just couldn’t stand it. The bugs, the grass, the trees, and especially smelling like outside. One day Eli woke up feeling…different. The good kind though. He felt as if he was being too picky about certain things in life. So that maybe if he weren’t, he could enjoy more things. The first thing that came to mind was the park because why not? It was a Friday afternoon so kids were still in school-leaving it empty and a great place for some quiet time, peace of mind, and some soul searching. I wanna see what all the hype is about. Literally, everyone goes to the park-old people, toddlers, teenagers, even adults. Maybe there’s something I’m missing Eli thought. So to the park he went.

What do people even do here Eli thought while standing by the swings in an awkward position unsure of what to do with himself. I guess ill sit down he mumbles to himself and made his way onto the swings. Sure, the weather was nice and it was quiet but it just wasn’t for him. Maybe ill try walking around. On the concrete of course. Eli made his way off the swings and into the main section of the park. He walked around for a bit looking around until he found himself by a tree. Maybe if I hug the tree, I’ll feel more connected to nature. So he did exactly that. As uncomfortable as it was, Eli hugged the tree and it was at that moment he realized that both the park and nature were not for him.
