Assignment #4 – How My Mind Truly Thinks!!

I decided to stick with the Visual Assignments on the website. I just felt that they resonated with me more. The two assignments I chose from the ds106 webpage were My Favorite Lyric and We’re The Real Life Brady Bunch!

Option 1

I chose this assignment because I am a big music person. I’m a person that believes music can have a big effect on an individual’s mental health. For example, if you are sad I would say listen to Firework by Katy Perry.

The song I chose is what I listen to when I’m having a bad day and I literally can’t get out of my bed to do anything. I’ve been told it’s called seasonal depression. I’ve listened to this song since I was in middle school it is called Wake Me Up by Avicii, and the specific lyrics from the song that always sort of have a lasting effect on me are “All this time I was finding myself, and I didn’t know I was lost”.

I used Canva to make my image. I went searching interest to find the best image that depicted these lyrics and I finally found one. I downloaded the image on my laptop and then uploaded it into Canva. I then went on to dafont.com looking for a 70s retro font once I types out the lyrics I used the curving tool in Canva to wrap the words around the maze.

Option 2

I chose this assignment because I use to watch reruns of The Brady Bunch with my mom when I was a kid and she always referred to my sisters, cousins, and me as The Brady Bunch.
