It’s a wrap. We have made it to the final blog post!!
The grade I believed I have earned in this class is an A. I deserve that grade because I have attended most of our class sessions, did all my assignments in a timely manner and commented on my classmates work.
The thing I enjoyed most about this class was the creative freedom we were allowed to have in these posts.I will apply the new skills I have learned into the Digital journalism field making the news industry a little more fun.
My website aniyawritespink.com is now up. I plan to maintain and keep up my website, I have so many ideas for it like talking about my favorite foods, ranking songs, ranking hair colors. I can use my website has an online diary and just post when I want. So far I have transferred some of my post from here onto the website but I plan to make new original works soon.
My website overall look 🎀
I’m really happy with the way it looks!! The aesthetic is so pretty the light baby pink, the bows and the pearls. I did like the simplicity of the font 🎀
I have written a Welcome post on my website 🎀
At the bottom of my welcome post it directs you to my next posts 🎀
My name + my favorite thing to do + my favorite color
2.AniyaNovemberthe 13.com*ੈ✩‧₊˚
My name + my birthday, not just that but my birthday falls on Friday the 13 once every 10 years, and it will again in the year 2026.
3. TheYoungWriter.com*ੈ✩‧₊˚
My last name + my favorite hobby
4. AniyaEats.com/ AniyaBites.com *ੈ✩₊˚
I’m leaning toward this one, this domain name is for a food review blog where I would try different foods and talk about why I liked them or didn’t.
5. Aniya’sCinema.com*ੈ✩‧₊˚
Another fun one I’m leaning towards for film reviews where again I would talk about movies and shows on my blog.
*ੈ✩‧₊˚ My website could be on a variety of things but I think I might go with the film reviews blog. I honestly really enjoyed all the website names I came up with, it was fun.
For one of the two projects I thought about, I knew I already had all the skills needed for this assignment. This assignment is called The Destination Poster✧.*
First I opened Pinterest an app I use to find all my photos ✿
Then in the search engine, I looked for a background image ✿
Here is the photoੈ♡˳
The photo had the location in the caption of the photo ✿
Then I opened the app Picsart which I have been using since middle school, I love the simplicity of this software it is super easy to use ✿
Using the tools in the app ✿
attempted to crop it to 11 x 17 but ran into a problem ✿
So I used the free crop tool and did it as similar as I could to the assignment poster example ✿
Then I picked a free font, some fonts you have to subscribe and added into the photo the location of the image ✿
Using the stroke tool I added a green border around the text. I didn’t like the greens so I used the eyedropper tool to find a green I liked ✿
I wanted to add some more text so I looked up public reviews of the pond and decided between these two ✿
Ended up picking the second one and here are the results of
I think I am doing great in CT101. I have fun posting and creating these blog posts. This has been the most enjoyable class so far. ੈ✩‧₊˚
I have learned through CT101 how to create GIFs and tell stories creatively through images, GIFs, and hyperlinks. ੈ✩‧₊˚
The new skills I have developed are how to make GIFs from YouTube videos and how to make MEMEs. I hyperlink all materials I reference in my weekly posts. I have learned the history of MEMEs and GIFs which I did not know before taking this class. ੈ✩‧₊˚
I believe I am maintaining an A grade because I have completed most assignments so far, my attendance is good and I try to express myself creatively in all my posts while following the good blogger post criteria. ੈ✩₊˚
A GIF ( I did not make it) from one of my favorite artists- Melanie Martinez the film and the album K-12 are amazing.
Yes, I see my weekly posts expanding in content, they have been getting longer and I hyperlink more than when I started. My posts do look the same but it’s for stylization purposes, I might start to add more GIFs of celebrities I like in my post- like this one. ੈ✩‧₊˚
Yes, I am missing one assignment #5 Dive into DS106, that assignment is taking longer than usual because it’s so time-consuming. I have started it but I accidentally erased it all so I have to find time to do it over. ੈ✩‧₊˚
I have been commenting regularly on my classmate’s posts and I try to respond to their comments on mine. I do respond to the professor’s comments when I log into the class website. ੈ✩‧₊˚
I do try to participate during class time by actively listening and answering small questions in class. ੈ✩‧₊˚
I will try to participate more during class time, do my assignments in small parts and not all at once (because it can be overwhelming) and I will try to switch up my format of posts from time to time. ੈ✩‧₊˚
The first world internet celebrity Mahir Çağrı in 2009. Established as the first person to achieve celebrity status solo through the internet. In modern society we now have so many internet celebrities from different platforms like Instagram, TikTok, YouTube, and Snapchat they are called social media influncers or internet celebrities.
The first YouTube video was by Jawed at the San Diego Zoo. His video would now be considered a vlog. YouTube has come a long way since then, even though many people now are saying there isn’t any fun content on YouTube anymore as people chase the algorithm. But I like my YouTube timeline it keeps me motivated and inspired when I watch a day in my life, morning routines, and hair care routines. When im in the mood to watch gaming content it’s avaible anytime in the search engine.
Prioritizing relaxation in your professional and personal life can be beneficial.
I practice self-care in many ways for my mental health and to reward myself. I practice stretching and listen to calming and positive music while I clean or do my homework. I try to keep up with face masks and hair masks because they make me feel better and look better. I am also looking into meditative techniques like breathing exercises.
“British historian R.G. Collingwood would say that internet memes are the performance of emotion and it’s not true expressions, making meme makers ranters and ravers and not actual artists.”
If MEMEs were to be considered art they would be the lowest forms of art similar to messaging we wouldn't say that sending a message to someone is art, would we? pop artists try to blur boundaries in an attempt to elevate “low” culture to “high” art. I agree with Kash Jordan's point when he mentions the easy accessibility of MEMEs and digital content is the main reason why MEMEs aren’t immediately considered art or being consumed as fine art.
I think MEMEs being considered art is bad for the art community MEMEs undeniably lack the substance, motivation, and humanity that characterizes art. MEMEs being used instead as a form of communication is good. I think MEMEs are simply forms of self-expression and nothing more because of the lack of creativity with MEMEs. MEMEs follow a certain format and art does not there's so much creative expression that comes with art.
MEMEs can be used for storytelling because the images and GIFs you use can portray what you're feeling and can tell a story much similar to how writing can, MEMEs when used correctly-in a way that flows, can be used to create a visual storytelling technique.
SOME OF MY FAVORITE MEMEs ༊*·˚
Any meme of Drake is just so funny to me his facial expressions.
This Sad Ant meme that went trending on TikTok was so relatable.
This sad boba-eyed hamster joke will always make me laugh the music just ties it together.
CT101 MEMEs⋆ ˚。⋆୨୧˚
Thrillist top 100 memes of all time This was a very intriguing read through the memes we can can see how society changes and how what we find funny changes with it in 10 years this list would be updated and I'm excited to see the new generation of internet memes.
GIFs have become a key part of our day-to-day digital communication and can be seen in every aspect of social media. Today GIFs are synonymous with short, looping, animations but GIFs started as a way of displaying still images. In early 1986 Steve Wilhite worked on the Graphics Interchange File Format, and in 1995 created the animated GIF standard. GIFs became a new form of self-expression and that created iconic memes and GIFs that we all recognize and sometimes connect to a certain time in our lives (e.g Grumpy Cat 2012 & Nyan Cat 2011) So we celebrate 30 years of GIFs and we're excited to see more of it in the future.
What did you think on the first day of the CT101?

The creative potential of the class is limitless.

My Thoughts ✧.*
Giphy was easier to work with than Imgur. Imgur did not allow me to make any GIFs - it repeatedly failed to upload. Giphy was easier to make a GIF but it did take a long time for the GIF to be created and to be downloaded despite it being a short YouTube clip.
Valentine’s Day made me happy this week, the holiday is all about sharing love whether that be with yourself or others (family, friends, pets, partners, strangers). This holiday also contains my favorite color; pink hence my username. I was happy to discover this news about the benefits of hugs on your mental health because my love language has always been physical touch.
Also, I found a video surrounding the same topic from two years ago that still holds up in 2024, even though this video talks about how COVID changed people’s way of showing affection – with the fist bump or elbow touch.
Happy Valentine’s Day !!
