Memes are absolutely art. Art is a form of expression and memes are all forms of expression whether it’s political, love, happiness, or sadness they generate a feeling.
The merriam-webster.com dictionary defines art as, “produced as an artistic effort or for decorative purposes, : decorative or illustrative elements in printed matter.”
