I have decided that since I already have this username for my youtube channel why not make this into a full brand.
I plan on putting content of videos and skits etc showcasing my passion for acting. The process itself was very smooth and I am very excited to finally say I have my own website!
Besides my youtube content, i want to make it scary themed talking about paranormal stuff, conspiracy theories and stuff that people are afraid to discuss. I find the paranormal itself very fascinating because people get a huge adrenaline rush and so I want to create horror themed content!
This week’s assignment on DS 106 was pretty interesting. I got to explore some pretty dope content that I think I could possibly use for my own website when the time is right.
This week we were task with finding an assignment that we could try now and another in which we would later develop the skills to do it later. The first assignment I chose was from the “Mashup Assignment: Storytelling Through Text.”
If you direct your attention to the below this text, I’ve left a picture of what the page looks like. I also have hyperlinked the assignment name in the text.
In this assignment, I had to create a story through text. I’ve seen many of these examples on Youtube ads or on my Facebook timeline. Most of the examples I’ve seen have a thriller like a theme. It starts off as a normal conversation through text and one person always appears to be in trouble.
To complete this assignment, all I needed was my iPhone and an app called “Texting Story.” With this app, I have the ability to create a text tread between two or more individuals. Also, I’m able to edit the names of the people I’m texting and able to screen record the whole thing.
This is what the app looks like for iPhone users
This app is quite effective in creating this assignment. The harder part is just coming up with a storyline to make the text thread interesting. It was a little weird because I was basically talking to myself. But I made it as interesting as possible.
Here is the finished product of my recreation of “Storytelling Through Text.” Hope it is as entertaining as it was creating it!
The second part of the assignment was to find something that I needed more informative knowledge to create. For this assignment, I wanted to learn how to create my very own Logo. this assignment could be found in the Visual Assignment folder.
This how the assignment looks. I wanted to know more about this process because when creating my own blog website, I intend on creating making my very own to put off my site. This would personalize my work a little bit more and people tend to do better with remembering visual rather than words. I would love to create a logo that helps me become memorable with my CT101 peers.
To do this website I’m not sure what I would have to use as yet. But I intend on doing some more research. I’m pretty sure in this day and age I could find some app to help me with the process.
Since its release in 2013, one of my favorite series, hands down, has been Oregairu.
My Teen Romantic Comedy Is All Wrong (or Oregairu for short) is a Japanese light novel, anime and manga series created by Wataru Watari. It follows the story of Hikigaya Hachiman, a loner who gets roped into joining his school’s Service Club along with two other girls. They solve the problems of the people around them and begin to grow closer to each other in the process.
I grew more and more interested in the series because of how well-written and relatable the characters were, especially the main character, Hachiman.
With the light novel completed in April and manga still ongoing, the anime entered its final season this summer. Because of how busy this semester has been, I didn’t have a chance to catch up on the final season’s episodes until a few nights ago.
Despite the character facial animations being a little wonky this season, one of the undoubtedly best animated moments was the rap battle scene. It definitely caught me by surprise, and now I can’t count how many times I’ve re-watched it!
Hikigaya has since then been fondly dubbed by the anime community as “one of the top ten rappers that Eminem was too afraid to diss”.
When it comes to the word internet happiness. Youtube has to be the place for me. I have always had a passion to be a Youtuber and I still do plan on becoming one. Besides acting, youtube is a place where I can put whatever content I want. I mostly do skits, gaming videos, vlogs and reactions.
My greatest skit I ever did was a series called PSYCHO where me and a bunch of friends found an abandoned train station and filmed it there:
I believe for any upcoming youtuber the hardest is to reach 1,000 subscribers but once you reach it your smooth sailing from there!
For any other youtubers out there keep uploading and be consistent and hopefully I can see you there at the top!
Biggest goal is to reach 1 million subscribers and I plan on to one day
