Assignment 1: What makes me happy on the internet

Assignment 1 recap: What I liked about this assignment was I just had to put links/ pictures of things that I like to watch/ do that make me happy on the internet.

Assignment 2: GIF

Assignment 2 recap: I had to make some of my own GIFs, which was really fun to do but I had difficulty downloading them on my computer.

Assignment 3: Meme

Assignment 3 recap: I had to find some of my favorite memes on the internet. Additionally, I had to make my own memes that included CT101 and it was really fun to do I enjoyed it.

Assignment 4: Digital Storytelling Project Flexibility

Assignment 4 recap: I had fun looking at the different assignments and it all seemed interesting to do, it was difficult to choose just one assignment that I wish I could do.

Assignment 5: Creativity

Assignment 5 recap: We had to make our own websites, I had difficulty deciding what I wanted to do with mine and what to add like if I should add only pictures or maybe add gifs too.

How am I doing in CT101?

I think I’m doing well but it can be a bit stressful and overwhelming especially since every week I’m learning and doing something new so it takes me some time to be able to do the work.

How many points have I earned so far and what grade do I believe I am maintaining? 

I’m not sure how many points I have earned so far but I’ve been doing all my assignments and commenting on my classmate’s posts and trying to get better at responding to comments and participating in class. I think I’m maintaining a B+ in this class.

What have I learned and retained the most?

I’ve learned how to make GIFs, add hyperlinks, and memes and basically be more creative overall. I retained making GIFs the most, I use GIFs in almost all my posts and I try to hyperlink more in my posts, but sometimes I forget to hyperlink.

What new skills have I developed, cultivated, and displayed regularly in my weekly posts?

Some new skills I have developed are making GIFs and memes. In all of my posts, I add GIFs, I don’t add many memes because I don’t know how to use them in a way that makes sense yet. I want to start using memes more often.

How do I assess my performance through self-reflection in this class?

I assess my performance through self-reflection by taking into account the comments made by my peers and checking if I improved on that in my new assignments.

What do I know now that I did not know before taking this class?

I didn’t know how to make gifs or memes before taking this class. It was really cool to see how simple it was to make, I always thought it was complex.

Do I see my weekly blogging work expanding creatively? If so, please explain –  or am I stuck in a loop where my posts seem to look the same most of the time, how will I change that?

I do think my weekly blogging has been expanding creatively, at the beginning of my posts I would barely add any gifs or images but now in my weekly posts, I’m adding more gifs and sometimes images of what I’m doing. As well as, each class we learn to make something new so next blog post I can include what I learned last week into my blog post. I don’t think I’m stuck in a loop.

Are there any assignments that you are missing? 

There are no assignments I’m missing, I try my best to submit all the assignments on time.

Are you commenting regularly on your classmate’s posts? Are you responding back to comments given to you by the professor & your classmates?

I do try to comment regularly on my classmate’s posts and I have been getting better at responding back to comments before I wouldn’t respond to the comments but now I respond back.

Are you participating during class time? If not, explain why. This is the time to be accountable. How will you make needed improvements?

I don’t participate much during class time because I don’t have any questions on the assignment we have to do and if I do have questions when I’m doing my assignment I just look back at the zoom meeting. I will try to participate more by responding to the teacher when he asks us something so he knows I’m present in class.
