Well its a wrap, like the cliché saying “all good things must come to an end“

When I started this class I really did not know what to expect, I figured I may learn a new skill but I was not sure if I was going to have fun.  

At the same time, it was always frustrating for me because certain things were a bit difficult for me to understand even when I went back over the zoom videos and youtube videos and I know it was my fault for not understanding.

Throughout the course, you could see that there are progressions in my work. Even though assignment5 is in the past, I still enjoyed the idea that I created and still went back to make changes along the way.

Making the website was quite difficult even though I had experience in the past with website development. That was the most frustrating part for me but with time I slowly figured things out. I changed the background from this

But I think I am going to change it back to image I had in the first picture. I am still thinking about it not sure yet. I would continue using my website for animations I’ve been working on and I’ve been thinking about using a  thing called Unreal Engine 5 to make a game and make the website revolve around that but I don’t think people will visit the website.

Im still going to apply my new skills into world because this class allowed me to be more free compared to my other classes so I really enjoyed that. Reading my classmate’s post was fun and I was able to see other stories, so thank you all. Even when I was doing my animations before this class I wanted to gain some tips and I think I gained knowledge on how to apply it to my work. I believe the grade I’ve earned is between 90 to 93, I worked hard to get things right even when I wanted to give up sometimes.

I think that’s about it, I tried to keep the post short, honestly I will miss this class wish more classes were like it but maybe ill go to the department next semester and see if there’s something there for me, even though it doesn’t apply to my major. Maybe an animation software I can use or something.

PANORAMIC!!!!!!!!

Whenever I make anything art related even if its just a small picture I sill want it to tell a story.

At first I was a bit worried because when it comes to making art I come up with too many ideas

I took a breather and was able to put out the fire

buuuuuut I was still was panicking a bit because I still had to put things together

I tried to tell a story with an apple, I know it seems silly but I wanted to see if I could make a panoramic that shows a good apple and a rotten apple .  After trying to take the picture which took some time, I tried to some edit, to make it look like there were tiny worms. I didn’t want to edit too much because I wasn’t sure if it was allowed or would  change things too much 

A website that stood out to me was Stella’s “https://aquicklaugh.com/ ” because I was shock that the website name was available. All the good ones are usually taken. Your website showed meme culture and I like that about it, I screenshot this one from your site because I have seen this image being used by so many age groups.  

This image became a new meme because the video itself was seen by many 

 

Another one that stood out to me was by Fatema’s website “https://love2explore.net/#” it is also a great website name that I am shocked is not taken. I really think the website is beautiful and I also love how good the colors work together 

My blog focuses on outer space, and with a new discovery from the unknown I wanted to focus my blog post on that. There’s also a short video that goes into detail about the discovery, some people seem to find space scary but I wanted to make it fun.

I worked on the design of my website before I started WordPress, I already had an idea in mind however I did not get to see it come to life. To find the design was really hard since it fell like I had to come up with a new idea, but it was still fun cause that meant I would have to tap into my creative side. Navigating around themes and wordpress even though I watched the zoom videos and youtube it was still difficult to navigate things. I was able to remove the default content but it was really complicated, even when I would remove images and publish it, it seemed the old images would remain. I added something to already preexisting pages. I will use my new website to make things about myself,then again I  might  change my  mind.

It was very confusing even though I watched the zoom videos, not saying the zoom videos did not help, I am just saying certain things I had to try to figure out on my own. I had some ideas for the name of my websites, but it really was hard to pick names when everything seemed to be taken. I know you mentioned in class that we are not trying to create the next amazon website, however, getting the right idea was still hard.  

Eventually, I just went with what I already had in mind, though I did not want to use it because you also mention that you wouldn’t recommend us to have a long domain names but the name I chose seems fitting and no one had it. It is called “madeinyourlikeness.org”

My website will have things that I find interesting. I have an idea of how I want the website to look but im not sure yet because things may change.My favorite website are youtube and Hulu, I can’t really think of other websites I use more than that. I don’t really use the web for much

what are you inspired to do? What are you inspired to make or create?

I was inspired to create something that also reflects the inner me. I had this idea in my head for a long time now, I even tried to create something similar to it way before I joined this class. I always wanted to make something that means something different to someone else so that’s what I kind of had in mind

I built upon something I already had been working on in the past but this time I tried to connect other things around it while trying to just go with the flow rather than overthinking things. I can’t really put what I created into words you would just have to see for yourself. Though my goal was to make that have a different meaning to someone I’m not sure if I was able to do it or not.

How am I doing in CT101? 

I would hope I’m doing good but I’m not really too sure. I do think I am growing a bit but I think I am still a bit slow. Which is something I’ve always dealt with when it comes to learning something new.

How many points have I earned so far and what grade do I believe I am maintaining?

Maybe 82, my problem is that I take too long to come up with the right idea I want for class, so it pushes me back. Ive been trying to take notes whenever I come up with an idea because at times I can have so many ideas I do not know which one to pick. 

What have I learned and retained the most? 

I learned that I should be more comfortable with expressing myself and that will always stay with me. Before I felt like I had ideas, but I was scared to put them out there.  

What new skills have I developed , cultivated and displayed regularly in my weekly posts? 

I learned how to be creative in a simpler way and that’s by using gifs or memes.  I used memes and when I would send them I make sure it represents exactly what im feeling not just something random. Though whenever I would use them it would take sometime to find the right one. To me displaying the right meme for the right moment is what I would display in my weekly post.

How do I assess my performance through self-reflection in this class? 

I assessed by taking notes from the comments made by others and by reading others’ posts. Some people’s ideas maybe similar to mine or different, either way, I can learn from them  

What do I know now that I did not know before taking this class? 

I didn’t know that I would be able to be so expressive and free in this class. I had some idea of what the class may offer but I didn’t think I would also have this much fun.

Do I see my weekly blogging work expanding creatively? If so, please explain –  or am I stuck in a loop where my posts seem to look the same most of the time, how will I change that? 

Sometimes I do feel stuck but Im not sure if im stuck on a loop or not. It is hard to be your own critic at times.

I saw the comments that had been left-back, but I did not know I was to respond back on all, I didn’t see any reason to, but I did take note of what was said.

Assignment 5 is the only one that I haven’t done yet because it is a bit hard to start it, since I have to narrow down  things about myself.Even this assignment was hard since I had t0 focus on myself.I take notes from the professor and fix any error I madeI do plan on responding back to classmates it just slipped my mind. I do think I should participate more in class by talking. Im just not sure how, and I dont know what I should say. I do the work and I’m listening plus taking notes. 

Are you commenting regularly on your classmate’s posts? I do take notes and opinions but at times it slips my mind that I have to express them to others.Even when the professor comments I take in the new information and fix things for past and future post. 

 

I really do enjoy the flexibility of this class, I really wish all classes were like this. Not only do I have fun but I get to really be creative, unlike my other classes. I also really enjoy telling stories or even creating something that makes people wonder. I had this idea and at first, I didn’t really know how to put it together, I wanted to create something that had a little bit of a different meaning for everyone. It took me a while because I had to draw it myself then put things together. 

It is not the best but I am hoping when I express myself I learn from it, even if its not the best. In this class, I don’t feel negatively judged about my ideas wherein other classes I do feel that way

 

YAAYYY CT101 IS ABOUT TO START 

I do think that means are art, I dont think there can be just one simple defintion of what art is.To me art it is a form of expression but it could have a totally different meaning to someone else. Ive seen just the simplest memes getting so much attention and likes because they are relatedable or funny, even though it is just an image on the internet, not something you would see in art galleries.

What did you think on the first day of the CT101? 

I wasn’t sure what to expect but I was really curious and was hoping it would be fun 

Did you like hearing about the course and its creative content? How did it make you feel?

I was extremely excited after attending the first class and was excited to show my creative side. I really do enjoy showing my creative side, but I felt like that side of me as been locked up because I  dont get to show that side with any of my classes. 

How does CT101 compare to some of your other classes?

It seems more fun, adventurous and I’ll be able to be creative compared to my other classes. This class doesn’t relate to my major, but it does relate to something I like to do which is why I wanted to take it.

What are the potentials of this class?

I think to learn a new skill and being free to express oneself. To me there isn’t just one answer for the potential of this class. I feel the answer is whatever fits you 

How do you feel abut learning new skills that use Internet tools?

 I am very open minded to it.
