For the assignment I can do on my own I chose making an animated GIF- get off my porch because it’s a good way to work on my editing skills. As I was working on it I found myself having trouble figuring out how to add an image to a GIF. I felt like this would be something we’d start to work on in class so it would be good to learn now.
In my research, I found a website called kapwing.com that offered the tools for my project.
So I went through the process of finding my image and uploading it.
Then the somewhat tricky part was adding the GIF process but, I figured it out pretty easily. In a few short steps I was finished and I learned a quick new skill that as I continue to work on will allow me to create more elaborate projects.
However, my finished project is supposed to represent the disappointment
of watching the NBA put more of a focus on theatrics and drama than the actual skill of the players.
I’m sure this will be part of what I’ll have to learn, which would help me since I know little to nothing about how to code. The assignment page offered a site to help, but I was still a little confused.
Getting a basic grasp of such programs like Java and Linux would help, but I’m sure it’ll take time to get the hang of it. In the future, I hope to be able to code animated and possibly interactive media.
Technology has advanced quite far from where it first began. We went from using sticks and stones to make fire to driving mechanical vehicles to wherever our hearts desire. Communication and social interaction has evolved with this progression of technology and today, you see everyone with a phone regardless of purpose. It has since become a staple towards our daily lives as it allows us to be able to talk to our family and friends in seconds and allow us to share our experiences in a few pictures and videos

When thinking of these three words: Creativity, Immediacy, and Intuition, I don’t use those exact words but the concept of each of these words exist in whatever you put your mind to.
Creativity is the very essence your mind and figuring out a solution with an unorthodox method that proves to be effective.
Immediacy is to recognize and value.
Intuition is understanding the feeling right away without having to research what you’re looking at.
If I had to put these three in order, I’d say Creativity + Intuition = Immediacy.
When asked the question of what it is being alive, I think of being placed on this planet to do something, we don’t know what it is until our life plays out. There’s so much in life to do that puts you through so much and you as a person has to take all of it in and channel this into something great for yourself. Life is precious and has something to it which makes it special and that is the memories you make while you’re here. It’s always important to have good and bad memories that help you grow as a person.
I used a multitude of pictures/gifs to represent what I like and what would help people understand me as a person. Many of these stem from my interest in reading and researching sports to watching anime and other things like that. I wasn’t able to insert the collage as a whole GIF for the post but I hope that’s fine.
All in all, I really liked using this program as it gives you the freedom of making a collage that best represents you and you have full creative control when creating such a piece.
The first thing I did was A daily assignment post because I was having a hard time with the other post.
What I learned from the assignment was how to make a custom eye chart. I’m not too sure how many things this skill could be useful for maybe If I happen to become a doctor or even for a party game or even a room decoration.
The next assignment I chose to do was a seeds of Hope project. I picked this one because my message could possibly spread hope to others. And I think these projects could be very useful for teaching things like communication and even how to help and encourage others through the internet.
One passion of mine is a hobby. Since when I was little Dancing has been a passion of mine, I used to watch tutorials all the time when I was younger when my mom couldn’t afford to send me to dance classes.
For me, it was a way to release some of the stress and pent-up anger from glass and just overall things that would occur In my life. It was something That always managed to make me feel good and forget everything that was going on.
I remember when I fell in love with dancing, I was trying out for my first talent show and my aunt agreed to help me come up with a routine. And she figure that I would do a good job dancing since I was too nervous to sing. And it was somethingI learned that I was really good at.
From that day on I enjoyed dancing and joined ballet for a short time, I joined as many dance clubs as I could and even was on the cheer team from elementary school until highschool
I found many links and many people believe memes are also an art form. To me, art is just a form of expression no matter how much effort it takes. Art isn’t just a painting. Even some paintings can take very little effort and still be considered art. Just like the video, we watched in class, the YouTuber mentions how creating a meme is art.

I think that to a certain extent memes being here to stay can be both good and bad because some people are just cruel and will use memes as a way to be mean as well, But at the same time, it can be good because it gives many people a way to express themselves and will also give them a way communicate and relate to others

Memes can definitely be used to tell a story. there are so many different memes put there with the same picture but most of them mean very different things because many people have different interpretations and perspectives of the same picture.

I think I need to learn the proper processing of the tools to make my project more exciting and more acceptable. throughout my project I would learn hoe to manipulate the photoshop, adobe and more editing and video graphic design.
Storytelling abilities are crucial because they help us connect with others, including clients and coworkers. Speaking to an audience or disseminating knowledge to others requires strong storytelling abilities. That’s why skills are more important.
I have another project is the editing the picture for advertisement post or posting for personal blog. I have used photo pea to make my project very simple for posting or make my personal advertisement. It could be business purposes or personal . this project makes me so funny and I enjoyed to work on it
It all started with this picture that was taken around the late 2000’s. There’s many reasons why this picture is iconic but, everyone’s attention was focused on the footwear a young Kanye West was wearing. Although I didn’t know what they were at the time I knew i needed them.
Unfortunately everyone else did too and so began my interest and eventual passion for style and fashion culture. Although cliche it really is a way to express your creativity and individuality. Along the way I found inspiration from such designers like Kim jones, Virgil Abloh and Wes Lang.
The way designers like these changed the idea of whats considered luxury fashion not only generated a lot of influence for the community but opened doors for young designers who can now professionally enter a space once thought impossible. It was in high school where I really went all in and started gathering pieces from different brands or just going to the stores to get a feel for what aesthetic and vibe a particular brand is going for.
Of course my style changed over the years and developed with the help of my influences, I eventually learned a bit of sewing and starting working on SafeHaven my clothing line. Its become my pet project now that at first started as my creative outlet.
We live in a digital age. Such is life. It’s true phones are the vessel that we seem to be reliant on. Walking down the street and seeing people looking at their phones. With the weather getting nice, people will be posting their vacation ventures, guaranteed. It even goes to the extent that personal individual emojis are made for each person on Apple devices. In the a recent update of them, it became available through iMessage. Here’s a link below on the process.
When it comes to the combination of Creativity, Immediacy, and Intuition that is a perplexing one. I would say that my preference is = Intuition + Creativity = Immediacy. I always tend to lean on my instinct, and use my spontaneous creativity ideas to bring the immediate product based on my effort.
Creativity is the ability to develop something naturally from oneself.
Intuition is the inner voice of the self to handle a situation in a determined way.
Immediacy is the utter moment in which presence and essence is born.
What does it mean to be alive? That’s a great question. Definitely subjective, yet all would have a similar theme. Mine is to be exercising your potential, breathing, and maximizing your involvement in your environment. Take this song as a light element of humor in that subject haha. But a great representation as the energy in the song instills thrill and raw euphoria I believe.
The phone, I advocate for more of an authentic and inclusive outlook on life. With a little less technology, and go for a walk or breathe the air by the river. Life’s natural elegance is to be admired through the human eye.
The metaphor that our devices being remote controls for planet is shocking pretty spot on.
When I explore these websites, Figma looks to be amazing! I’ll place something below with a visual representation of the elements that make me feel alive, if I am to understand this part correctly. To create a artistic piece of sorts takes me back to my days at the Brooklyn Museum. I made great pieces on a canvas and clay sculptures in abundance.
I did make a honest attempt at the other site mmm.page, however setting up an account proved to be an obstacle. Yet I liked that you were able to edit the front page interface as I’ll show you below. Very unusual for a site to tease you with a trial, yet it’s very inviting. The common edit tool side bar has various options, but the tone I got from the site was too restrictive.
For a site on personalization, it’s interactive, I gotta say. The chaos monkey option was wild in and of itself. Plenty of customization, just didn’t fancy it. If I incorporated my images onto this website, maybe it would have been abstract and nice, but it wasn’t a match for my vision.

I haven’t talked about it in other posts. But the added element is my faith. I had my communion and being in and around the church is a staple in my life. Along side my favorite soccer team, friends, family, playing soccer, and fishing.
It was a great experience, I prefer it more to the mmm.page and was glad about the process to compile everything into a mural that represents me well. I wanted to add an element or two that I haven’t discussed yet and they all add up to the major parts that make me feel alive. Had an issue with the formatting on one photo, it threw the alignment all off of the main piece. Otherwise it was smooth. I realized I had an account from my time at LaGuardia Community College, but took a brief time to familiarize myself with the format, etc. Some GIF’s and photos couldn’t be converted onto the platform with was a setback, but regardless I’m proud of the result.
The journey or the destination is the question. I know which I would like. How about y’all?

In preparation for this post I read two articles that both touched on the idea of Memes now being viewed as art and how they are used in how we relate. In Cassandra Lucas’ article she spoke on memes being able to bridge gaps between generations using humor and messaging while, Alice Bucknell believes that same messaging can be used nefariously.
They are often used to comment on concurrent events or pop culture phenomena, making them particularly relevant and relatable to their audience. This is especially important in a world where attention spans are increasingly short, and people are bombarded with information from all directions. Memes allow individuals to express their thoughts and opinions in a way that is both entertaining and accessible. Similar to this notable moments calendar that allows us to easily remember what story dominated the headlines for said month.
Memes are often shared across cultural and linguistic boundaries, allowing individuals from different parts of the world to connect and relate to each other while also serving as an effective way to address serious issues in a lighthearted manner. By using humor to address serious issues, memes can help to engage a wider audience and raise awareness of important topics.

she was living with her family thinking she is a normal girl with everyday problems but she was not normal she was extraordinary her parents are not her birth parents she was adopted but she doesn’t know that. he fake parents are secretly servants of her real parents the king of the demon world and her mother a warrior angel she was the strongest and bravest warrior angel in heaven. she was sent away so that she won’t be killed or worse kidnapped by their enemy Karl Heinz, he wanted her mother because she had intense great power that can be used both to bring balance or destruction to the world. But one day when she was coming home she saw her so-called parents dead and saw someone but she couldn’t see their face the only part of their face that she could see was their mouth that was full of fangs, she was surprised but not scared. She felt a dark presence behind her and turned around only to see a dark shadow from the shadows cures she’s could make it was a man and he had white fangs dripping with blood and red glowing eyes and dark strains of Greene’s hair .she screamed ” Aaaahhh”, then she bolted out the front door crying but everywhere she would turn she’s would see his piercing gaze. she thought she’d heard the man behind her so she turned around trying to be brave and face him she’s grabbed a nearby branch then she started hitting him and succeeded in knocking him out, then she ran but she didn’t notice that behind her the vampire got up he didn’t fell unconscious while she ran the vampire said ” don’t worry my dear Rirajira we will meet again someday ” and he merged into the shadows. Meanwhile, with Rirajira, she ran as fast as she could never looking back she ran and ran until she felt like her lungs would burst from breathing so hard. She tripped over her own feet and her vision blurred before she fell to the ground she saw a little girl with platinum blond hair and pink eyes running towards her with a man that appeared to be her father.
Noise. That’s all I hear screaming in my head. Many different voices saying one word but I can’t understand it. The voices get louder till it hurts my ears so I scream “STOP!” and they stop. Then all I see is a man with golden eyes and white hair They’re talking but my mom looks angry. I hear her yell Karl Heinz. As the man talks, I hear him say only one word “Eve.” I say it in confusion wondering what he means.
Meanwhile, outside of Rirajira’s mind, she says Eve in her demonic voice with the voices of her past. The past selves of her, each a warrior, king, and queen each uttering a single word “Eve.” Their eyes glowed, voices growing louder and more spirits appeared around the room.
Meanwhile, in the mindset of Rirajira, it becomes dark all of a sudden. Then a beautiful woman appears with piercing green snake-like eyes and long purple hair. She’s yelling at some boy with red hair and green eyes like her.
“She must be his mother,” I say to myself.
She says “Ayato what are you doing out here? You’re supposed to be inside studying to be the best. You are my eldest son and must become an heir to Karl Heinz. I can’t lose to that wench, Beatrix. You must be the next Vampire king”.
The boy called Ayato said “No mother. I don’t wanna be the best. I just wanna be normal and play like Laito and Kanato.”
“Ayato!” the woman yelled. “You must be the best or you are worthless to me and where do worthless boys go?” asked his mother.
“They go to the bottom of the lake where they can’t be heard from and drown.” Responded Ayato looking down sadly.
I was about to walk and help him when I see a woman running towards them. She looks very angry. “Cordelia!” she yells.
That must be her name, I thought to myself. When she gets close to Cordelia, the woman slaps her hard and yells.
“What’s wrong with you?! Ayato is only a child. It’ll be years before Karl is killed and Ayato is not the oldest. Shu is so he will most likely be the next Vampire king. And if Ayato doesn’t become king so what? He’ll be an amazing young man.” She says then kisses his cheeks.
She grabs his hand and walks away with him leaving Cordelia glaring at my mother. But in the shadows, I saw a man with green hair and red eyes gazing at my mother with a longing look.
Then it fades to black, then I hear the sound of water splashing and a familiar voice. It was Ayato and his mother. I ran to them and as I got closer, I saw Ayato in the lake yelling for his mother’s help but she just walked away. I ran even faster to try and save him and I saw my mother running towards him too. We both jumped at the same time and sank deep to the bottom of the lake to try to save Ayato. We both grab him and when I touched him he looked right into my eyes and said the word “Eve.” Then I let go of him and my mother pulled him to safety.
Outside of her mind, the spots of her past self faded all except one the spirit of her great-grandmother. She tells of a prophecy of “One day, Hell will rise from below and heaven will fall from above. The child born of both heaven and hell will walk the earth once more to save it from destruction or to help in destroying it.” she says then fades away.
Seiji and the rest of the priests and nuns look toward the still-floating girl. Seiji was brave enough to take a step towards her when suddenly she screams and blasts Seiji and everyone away from her. Her eyes were wide and glowing. One eye is red and the other purple. The walls start shaking and become covered in glowing symbols in the colors red, blue, purple, and green. Rirajira screams even louder her and her skin begins to steam and also becomes covered in symbols. Then the priest, nuns, and Seiji hear a cracking noise and see giant wings come out of her shoulder blades. Three pairs of wings appear from her back on a pair of demon wings, one a pair of Dragon wings, and the last a pair of angel wings.”She’s a monster.” said a nun.
“She’s a demon.” said a priest.
“She’s an Angel or a type of freak.” said another nun.
Only Seiji kept quiet and looked at her and said to me one word that echoed in the room “EVE!” Rirajira heard it and fell onto the ground passing out. Her wings shrank and went back into her shoulder blades. The symbols on both her body and the walls disappeared. She stopped glowing and return to normal. Her hair color changed to purple with white at the end.
When all the noise of the nuns and priests’ voices died down Seiji walked slowly to the shaking and crying child covered in rages of her clothes. As he walked closer to the child he saw something glowing red when he reaches out to touch her shoulder she looked up and it was her eyes that were glowing red.
She snapped at him and tried to put his head off for she was scared. But it wasn’t her fault it was her demon side protecting her. Seiji wasn’t pleased with this and took her arm and stuck a needle in it to make her body numb and very heavy. He called some of the priests to come with chains and metal pokers with strange symbols, symbols that matched the one that glowed on the wall.
They dragged her body and chain her to the wall and poured holy water on her body and the chains “Aaaaaaahhhh rgggaaahh ” she screamed with the voice of a little girl, demon screech, the war cry of an angel and the roar of a dragon all the nuns and priest saw the shadows of these fierce creatures and there eyes glowing. She looked at Seiji and her eyes glowed a dark blue then they turned white as pure as snow till it becomes so white and bright from their glowing it blinded him ” aaaaaaaaaahh ” he screamed

When he looked into her eyes he saw death and chaos, he saw the prophecy. A flash of Boys he couldn’t see their faces but he could see their eyes they are all smiling with sadistic grins they all speak one-word eve.
Then he sees the sky as red as blood and angels fighting demons, and vampires, werewolves, humans, and dragons fighting each other but on one dragon the biggest dragon of them all was a woman wielding a sword covered in blood and was flaming blue flames and was all black and white on one side. She roared a warrior cry and the roar of a dragon and jumped off into battle killing all her enemies.

And she flew toward him when she was about to slice him in half he saw a bright light. He saw the girl again wearing a crown on the throne and next to her was a man wearing a crown but he couldn’t see him.
She looked right at him her eyes glowing dark blue and everything he saw came back to him.
With all the screams of creatures dying and the pain, they’re in he closed his eyes tightly and covered his ears to drown them out when the noise stopped. When he opened his eyes he was on a bed next to the child and all around was his fellow priest and nuns.
” What happened to me how long was u out I felt like I was out for days”. said Seiji
A priest stepped to Seiji and said: ” priest Komori you’ve been out for only 2 minutes we tried to wake you but u wouldn’t wake we check ur plus and it was normal but when we saw your eyes they were red and when we tried to move you the girl’s Shadow attacked us”.
“What 2 minutes that’s impossible it felt like I was gonna for hours ” screamed Seiji ” chained her up to put chains all around her while the body chains make an X on her back so she can’t grow wings out. A spell in each chain so that where she uses her powers she feels intense pain call a witch to do it I don’t care but don’t it now”.
The priest ran to find a witch they captured long ago and forced her to do the spell but before she could she said the word” Eve ” in a raspy voice to the chained girl.
Seiji pulls the chain around her neck making her feel the pain of drowning in boiling oil and hellfire
. “Aaaaaaahhhhughjhh ” the witch scream ” it burns” she whispers ” It burns ” she screams.
The witch struggled as much as she could trying not to cast the spell on the child for she struggled but she couldn’t deal with the pain of the cursed chain around when neck. She cast the spell ” platano Keen Asue kinox to Nocona ca manticore la ru me ha”.
Once she started the spell the chains glow. “Aaaaahhhh” the child scream as the chains burned her body she looked at the child and back at the priest that kept her in the dark for 200 years and smiled, she looked back at the child with love and care and made the spell on my last for 10 years.
“When the child turns 18 and her soul mate the one she chooses to rule the world with into the darkness of death or the light of a new beginning. My spell will last forever no power on earth can break it”. said the witch.
And with the last of her life force energy, she puts all of it into her spell once it was done she was fell to the ground dead the last witch dead until a new one is reborn.
The priest gathered around the witch to see if she was dead he lifted his head and nodded his head.
” what are we gonna do,” said a priest
“We can’t keep that demon child here she’ll kill us all,” said a nun
“No, “said Seiji “well — no I’ll keep the girl no the monster I’ll raise her as one of my own, but she must not know about her powers that she posses or the prophecy”
All the priests and nuns’ misdemeanor heads were in agreement
“And you can do whatever you want to her just don’t kill her,” said Seiji
The nuns smirked with evil grins thoughts filled with what horrible thing they’ll do to the demon. The priests smiled with the delight at the things they would do to her
That night was the worst and first of many nights of her torture. The only thing anyone that’s as near the church could hear was the sounds of a child’s blood-curdling scream of pain, and mercy, and for them to kill her just to make the pain stop so she can join her parents.
from reading my work you see I put everything I can and more into what I do for I love it I grew up hearing If ya do something do it as you love it. and I do I wanna spread things I do in this story and anything else that I make to have people see it and be amazedly scared of my mind and what I think of
making these new stories will need skills to learn how to do them and they are very important to learn how to do and to learn new skills and tools this semester will help me become a better story teller,a better writer and better me,
Surfing through various options on the repository helped me overcome insecurities encompassing the internet and helped ease my paranoia regarding Virtual Reality and VR technology.

With all the discourse surrounding privacy and security, as well as the real threat of hacking, and identity theft, it’s understandable to feel hesitant about using VR.

A cautious approach toward embracing VR due to its potential for weaponization causes a timid mindset around technology. Some technological advances have even caused society to be uncomfortable pursuing careers in tech.

Learning CT 101 skills, such as audio editing, is crucial for content creation. The activity of Animoji Karaoke sparked my interest in exploring digital audio further. I am also interested in taking on the DS106 project Album Mashup in the future.

In WordPress, the editor mode allows users to create and edit content, such as blog posts, articles, and pages. When adding media, such as images, users can include alternative text, also known as alt text. Alt text is a short description of the image or media content, typically a few words or a sentence.
The purpose of alt text is to provide a text-based alternative to the media content for people who may be unable to view it. This includes individuals who are visually impaired, have low vision, or use assistive technologies such as screen readers to access online content. Without alt text, these individuals may miss out on important information conveyed through the media content.

To add alt text in WordPress, users can select an image and click the pencil tool to access the alternative text dialogue box. Here, they can enter a brief description of the image or media content. It is recommended to keep alt text concise and descriptive, providing enough information for users to understand the context of the media content.
By adding alt text to media content, WordPress users can improve the accessibility of their website, making it more inclusive and accommodating to a broader audience.

Enhancing new audio editing skills, such as GarageBand and iMovie, can facilitate bloggers to reach global audiences worldwide. Creating Album Mashup requires combining multiple songs from the same album using GarageBand or similar software.
Search for instructional videos on platforms like linkedinlearning.com and youtube.com to learn how to complete an Album Mashup assignment. It may take a couple of attempts using GarageBand before feeling confident enough to perform the process without tutorials. Devoting consistent time to this task over three to four days will help initiate an intuitive comprehension of navigating GarageBand.
Photoshop and Photopea are industry-standard software tools that are almost identical. Except for the price. Kaching! Photopea is Free.

Knowing functions and tools in Photopea/Photoshop is essential for anyone wanting to work in Graphic Design. They will be used often, and employers expect job applicants to know the fundamentals of design software to land a job in the design industry.

Photoshop does not need to be mastered. Likewise, knowing everything about Adobe products and how to use them is not essential.

What is important is knowing how to search for tutorials on design tools like PS, Illustrator, and InDesign or for UI/UX software like Figma and Adobe XD.
Anyone can learn to use these products, although it does take practice. The search tool is the most efficient shortcut command key when using software. Control or Command F is a shortcut for the search tool in most programs.

New innovative Ai tools like Chat GPT-4 and other Ai assistance bots can search for instructional steps to use with Adobe products, coding instructions in HTML, CSS, and JS, or create a digital image, essay, and statement to complete work efficiently.
I’m very excited for this assignment! I really like the DS 106 assignments, there’s a lot of variety and a lot of unique assignments to get done. Me personally, I’m more drawn towards the writing assignments, specifically the ones that focus around reviewing or critiquing media, like this one about reviewing movies, or this one about reviewing games. If all else goes well, I would love to ideally build a career out of reviewing games and movies.
After all, I talk people’s ear off about this stuff anyways, might as well get paid for it, right?
So, I’ve decided that I’m going to do the first assignment I linked, about reviewing movies, and do a review about one of the movies that I loved last year:
The Batman: An Ode to the Dark Knight.
When it comes to movies, Batman’s greatest nemesis isn’t the Joker or Bane, it’s the writer’s ego. Everyone thinks they know Batman, to the point where they never really decide to do any research, because they get Batman already. Everyone knows the story, right?– Rich kid watches his parents get shot in a darkened alley, and decides to work through that trauma by beating up criminals at night dressed in spandex. They all get the basics of Batman, and because they get it, they treat it with a level of contempt that we all harbor for that which we are intimately familiar with. They don’t bother reading into the character’s history, or the numerous re-imaginings and reboots throughout the years. They never take the time to get to know the side characters who are just as integral to the Batman mythos as the caped crusader himself– The Robins, the Villains, the darkened streets of Gotham itself, and as a result they all fundamentally fail to capture the essence of the character.
Every Batman movie prior to this has fallen prey to this contempt: Tim Burton’s 1989 Batman and 1992 Batman Returns is egregious in it’s reimagining of the character. The very substance of what makes Batman Batman is thrown aside to fit Burton’s lackadaisical style-over-substance form of film-making.
Christopher Nolan’s critically-acclaimed Dark Knight Trilogy also falls prey to this. Though the acting is tremendous, with world-class performances from Cillian Murphy’s Scarecrow, Heath Ledger’s Joker, and Tom Hardy’s Bane, the character of Batman becomes a side-character in his own story. We are supposed to believe that these villains are dark mirrors to the Batman, but the lack of care and effort put into the very development of Bruce Wayne from movie to movie just fails to sell that idea.
And last but not least, Zack Snyder’s Batman vs Superman. Ugh.
Intellectually shallow and aesthetically vain, Zack Snyder fundamentally misunderstands Batman, and the sanctity of his no-kill rule, removing all the complexities of the character in service of mindless action. I could fill multiple essays with how much I despise Snyder’s style, and his butchering of every comic adaptation he’s ever done, but this is not the time nor place.
All of this is to say, that while these movies do have their merits and most are perfectly serviceable, they fail to understand Batman as a character and have no respect for the source material they are adapting.
Which brings me now to what is, in my opinion, the best movie of 2022 and the first Batman movie I’ve ever seen which finally got it right: Matt Reeve’s The Batman
Matt Reeves does what none of the other directors have done before: Research. Though his rendition of the Batman is by and large unlike any version of Batman from the comics, there is an obvious reverence to the source material that had been lacking from movie adaptations for decades.
Let’s begin with Batman himself. We see a Batman very early on in his career, only two years in. He is angry, vindictive, futilely attempting to punish the criminals of Gotham for taking his parents from him, all those years ago. He cares little for himself, risking his life to mete out violence.
Unlike the Batman of Zack Snyder’s run, this is shown to be wrong. The violence is not meant to be a glorified spectacle, it serves to show this Batman to be a man so blinded by his zealous pursuit of vengeance, that he foolishly risks his life for no gain.
Throughout the movie, as the mystery unfolds (I won’t spoil any details, as I want anyone who hasn’t gotten the opportunity to see the movie to do so.), we get to see Batman be a detective, slowly untangling a conspiracy in the vividly dark neo-noir fashion of the 80s-90s era of the caped crusader.
And, above all else, we get to see Batman be a hero. The emotional climax of this movie isn’t the spectacle and bloodshed, but Batman reaching out his hand to help someone in need, and protect them from danger. It is him learning to put his need for vengeance aside in order to truly save the city and the people he cares for.
Overall, Matt Reeve’s adaptation of Batman is one of the best ever put on screen, and a wonderful homage to the comics from which it gathers it’s inspirations. It gets many things right, and is a gripping narrative that keeps you guessing all the way until the credits. 10/10.

Let’s pause, and become aware of this very passing second. I mean REALLY AWARE, so stop, and be still, very still…
You are alive. Contemplate that.
What does being alive mean to you?
Have you ever defined it beyond someone else’s interpretation? Where do those interpretations come from anyway? If not, its time to do this, and no, it can not be done in the next 3 seconds..
I believe that a big part of this life is to create and express that unique ability we all can contribute.
It will take some reflection..
More than a single blog post, but perhaps this is a metaphor, a portal that lures you in and activates you.
You are a thinking, breathing, feeling, sensory being that is processing this exact passing moment. Exactly as you read this from the specific location that you are in, with the age that your body is, in the time zone of the highest level of what you understand consciousness to be..
We can always expand this awareness.
Its a metaphor (there is that word again), because all the while, you are simultaneously existing on a seemingly gigantic rock spinning through the “space” that the best of the best of the best world’s scientists keep discovering only keeps expanding into more….well, space.
In the grand scheme of things, our gigantic rock may not be so gigantic when we think from this perspective. It’s actually the size we think it is relative to our awareness of it.
How do you develop the ability to audit this awareness and ask yourself what potentials lay in this metaphor? And, how can we apply this to other things that we wish to change or create from scratch.
It will require creativity, intuition and imagination. So go ahead and ASK.
Ask yourself a few questions:
“What is the creative potential of my awareness of this moment, and how may I intervene?
When we turn this directly to our weekly creativity exercise and re-propose the question:
“What is the creative potential of this assignment?
What is the creative potential of my web browser?”
What would you like to express about this moment and the awareness of it? How might or will you do it?
Chances are, you are holding your “device or viewing this through a computer” as you read this.
You know what device I am referring to. Perhaps it’s a laptop, desktop, iPhone, android or a tablet? It doesn’t matter and either way because it first started simply as an idea.
An expression of a collective need to expand, grow, learn and express.
Much like the infinite expanding space that we mentioned above, your device(s) is an intermediary tool to help express the potentials of creative space. Our viewing screens are rectangles… sometimes they are held and viewed vertically and sometimes they are turned horizontally, but before any content is consumed, it’s a rectangle in its form. That rectangle is a window, and so is a web browser window..
Your tech device(s) are remote controls for the planet..
We interacted with simple geometric shapes every single day, we take all of them for granted and rarely think of the doorways we are passing through as rectangles. Or the TV that we watch as “the rectangle.” As we walk up steps we rarely think of them as the horizontal rectangles that stack upwards or downwards.. You get the idea..
What is the creative potential of YOU and the rectangle that you are holding or looking through? (this is the part of things where you think Im a little weird, right? lol..)
Last week we asked and discovered what you are passionate about, BUT, but what is that you always wanted to express and share with the world? What is it that holds you back? Is what holds you back on the other side of the web browser window?
If you never “Start” then you will never have a result to work from. The only metric you have are the ones that you fear your expression wont compliment.
So, let’s start. Let’s express. Let’s share this into that rectangle / window that you are looking through and make it a practice.
Let’s jump into our assignment – let’s experiment and create a space on the web that is yours and personalize it.

Assignment #6 – Digital Art Making Immediacy
Assignment Description:
Experiment with these “Free to Use” Digital Tools: Lets create an account page using mmm.page and Figma.com (both Free!) ->
mmm.page & figma.com are both web browser based UX/Ui/ Prototyping / digital collage / website making platform / space. They work perfectly in your web browser. They also works on mobile devices! Based on the blog post here above, what are you inspired to do? What are you inspired to make or create? Each student will produce 1-2 pages using the figma or mmm.page platform. Each published page that you create generates its own URL. Be sure to locate those.
2. In a new blog post, share your experiences working with figma or mmm.page. What are you compelled to create? What did you create? Be sure to share the published link to your page(s) – its a good idea to take screenshots and hyperlink directly to the screenshots. (we already know how to do this)

Memes are always changing and growing with what’s new, which is wonderful for art since they elicit strong emotions like joy, rage, or astonishment. Memes open up new avenues for self-expression and more.

Of course, using memes to communicate stories is one option. On applications like Twitter or Snapchat, a meme is posted alongside the narrative to help create the mood and pique your attention. The meme provides the reader with a visual. Memes can also be used to show your response with no words necessary.

I feel like when it comes down to this meaning people in this world today will know something about somebody , and you will never know. People will always know someone, and talk about the person to another person that they know, and will tell the person everything that they know about the person, and that person will never fund out to later on in life.
