Assignment #4 Ethan was when?

The projects I chose were The Forrest Gump Project and the create photos with words project. The create photos with words project is where you describe a photo in place of the photo itself.

I think this is important because I have always had trouble communicating so writing out what I see would be a much-needed challenge.

Obviously, I need to expand my vocabulary and be more specific when I work so it’s something that can be very useful to me as a communicator and as a storyteller.

Another project I’m working on is the Forrest Gump Project which is a project where the creator has to put themselves into a historical image.

Obviously, this will be a great test of my photoshop abilities. I would have to color correct, position, and mask myself into a historical image correctly.

As a person who wants to use photoshop frequently in their career, I think this would be very important for me to learn.

Here’s how I did this project;

Step 1: I downloaded one image and took the other from my gallery.

This is one I downloaded

and this flattering image of myself I got from my gallery, I don’t know why I took this but this is a perfect image for this project.

Step 2:

I cropped myself in the image, cut myself out of the photo, and pasted it in front of the image for the project.

Step 3:

I used the Pen tool in order to trace myself, probably not the best option because I converted the path into a selection. I should have used the lasso tool but I’d spent a lot of time sculpting  out the selection

Step 4:

Next, I created a layer mask that immediately crops the selection. Now my background is gone.

Step Five

I converted the image of myself into a smart object and converted the image of myself to grayscale.

Step 6:

I positioned myself in the location where I wanted to be.

Step 7:

I put another mask on my image and NOW was when I decided to use the lasso tool to crop most of my body out and used the eraser tool to make myself look like I’m behind those two gentlemen.

Step 8:

And now I’m done, right? No, because I need to make myself more immersive. I decided to add an adjustment layer and use it as a clipping mask on the image of myself. This adjustment layer was for adjusting curves which changed the tones of the image of myself, making me look like I was actually in the image.

And that’s how I helped the Allies win World War 2

Assignment #4 – Free styling Projects

Assignment #6 Tik-Tok of your pet

For the first assignment that I would like to work from the DS106 assignment bank is “TikTok of Your Pet” which is a video assignment.

For step #1 – Open the TikTok app and in the top right hand corner, type up popular dog sounds or trends.

TikTok Search bar

Popular dog sounds

For step #2 – Then I would select a TikTok video that has a popular dog sound for me to use. I would go to the bottom of the screen and select the sound that the TikTok user is using in his video.

Sound

For step #3 – After that, I would go where it says “use this sound” and tap it and start recording my dog.

Use this Sound

For step #4 – After I finish recording my TikTok, I would go and hit next at the bottom of the screen.

My Dog

For step #5 – I would add some hashtags that are trending so it can get some traction but also to describe the video in few words. Finally, I will hit “post”.

Polpular Trend

Here is my dog in their first TikTok with the popular/silly sound. I really like that my dog is cute and hilarious with this popular/silly effect on TikTok. My dog’s reaction is like “what are you doing bothering me with this sound, I’m trying to sleep over here?”

game of thrones

I had chosen this first assignment because I really love dogs in general and I wanted to show my way of loving my dogs, by them being featured in a funny TikTok video. Also I like using TikTok and viewing other peoples funny or interesting videos, so much that they give me ideas that I know would turn out good for me when posting it.

DS 106 photoshop

For the second project, I don’t have the skills to do the assignment, but I would like to learn how to average layers in photoshop. I would love to learn how to do this because I’m interested in taking pictures either of myself or my family.

I can learn how to do this by finding a YouTube video. Actually here is one that I found.

I feel that the amount of these kinds of projects that I should be doing in this semester, so that I might learn and build both emergent storytelling skills and use new tools to create them are a few times or in other words……

I think these skills are important because you can add to the picture and make it interesting. You can make it interesting by adding filters or special effects and even making it beautiful instead of having a regular photo or a couple of photos with nothing added to it, to make it compelling, like telling a story.

Assignment #4: Creeper… Awwww man!!

So for this assignment, I went digging through the Ds106 repository. I looked through all kinds of tasks that could be done, mountains on mountains of options when finally, I found it. The one!! The only!! Minecraft!!Have you ever played Minecraft before? If not, give it a try you might like it!

I have loved Minecraft ever since I was a child so the thought of using it for a college project was right up my alley. The task itself was to build my own cozy cottage. As a previous architecture student, I had this in the bag. With this in mind, I loaded up Minecraft on my ps5, ventured into a previous save where I have with no houses, and found the perfect spot on these snowy hills.

Next was to figure out how I wanted it to look. Personally, modern homes have had the most appeal, but this was a welcomed challenge. I also referred to Youtube and Google for some inspiration. In the end, I decided to just throw some blocks together and see what came of it.imagination GIF

The next step was to choose my building blocks, I went with spruce wood and cobblestone. Both are pretty basic and can be found in the area but they match the scenery.

Finally, it was time to start building. I started with the foundation and steadily built up from there.

After about an hour I had built up a solid small foundation that I liked.

It went through many renovations because I couldn’t decide if I wanted outdoor sections or not. However, I did decide to have big open windows everywhere to give the illusion of space and show off the scenery. In the end, I had this cute little cottage.

I eventually plan to update this in the future with furnishing inside and a garden on the side. But that’s future me’s problem. Ciao for now ya’ll.that's all folks profile GIF

Assignment #3: V0T3 4 ArT$Y M3M3$

In this week’s assignment, we were told to search “Are memes art?”.

Well, what is Art?

To some, people believe that art has no artistic value and were made for cheap laughs.

Emily Mean GIF by Film Riot

I define Art as something that an artist is able to express themselves and where the audience can connect with as well as interpret the piece based on their perception of it. Memes can also capture and spread awareness of what has been going around. For example, people made memes during the 2020 election or even about King Charles.

Beauty is subjective and so is Art! Some people believe that even graffiti isn’t considered art…

if so, what is this:

Animated GIF

(for more information about this piece, hover over the gif :D)

I believe Memes are good for Art and should be considered Art. I feel as if a marble sculpture is one of the classics in Art, and can still be appreciated but we have to understand what’s been mainstream in our generation B).

Animated GIF

When looking at memes, there’s also a wide variety, and I know sometimes it’s so absurd but that’s what makes it memorable.

Similarly to Art, Memes are also very self-expressive. There isn’t really a right or wrong way to express themselves. As long as you feel that you’re being heard and others can connect back with their own experiences, then it doesn’t matter to those who oppose the idea.

And to whoever thinks that Memes aren’t Art then…

they’re just mad they can’t make any B).

hyperrpg meme twitch proud dnd GIF

These memes can also have a story behind them that is highly relatable to the audience. When I was younger, I would always see these types of memes on Facebook:

I know looking back at it, the memes were pretty bad but this is exactly what I mean — everyone can reminisce back to this terrible time and is able to connect to one another.

This meme is a great example of storytelling and communication and communication and storytelling in society. It communicates to others how exhausting it is to balance wants and needs and storytells what most people have experienced. I see it as a way where it just keeps society as a whole rather than us being separated by our differences, whether it’s through culture or age gaps.

For my  f a v o r i t e  class of mine, I decided to make this:

Animated GIF

Animated GIF

Overall, I believe Memes can be seen as another art medium. In the article, Memes as Art, I like how they mentioned, “Art is constantly evolving, but if the purpose of art is to express a human truth, the Internet meme fits the bill.”. As I mentioned earlier, marble statues can still be aesthetically pleasing, but Memes can also be aesthetically pleasing as well c:.

Assignment #3 Memes of Art

Assignment #3 Memes of Art

Internet search for “Are memes ART?” findings:  Here

j
This is the first link from the search of what is art?
The second link to what is art is this :  100%
I also agree with the picture above.

Are Meme’s Art? ….. Base on the video of Are LOLCats and Internet Memes Art? Idea Channel PBS Digital Studios

This is from the movie THIS IS END where Six Los Angeles celebrities are stuck in James Franco’s house after a series of devastating events just destroyed the city. Inside, the group not only have to face the apocalypse, but themselves. This is the scene I thought of when we was ask about memes being art. James Franco shows Seth Rogan and Jay Baruchel a painting of James Franco name and Seth Rogan name side by side each other. Jay Baruchel said he is not into art. James Franco responds telling him everything that is art in a (what I think is funny way) James Franco way.

Actually I think the better question is what’s not art?

Thinking about this question mostly everything we see art, weather that’s outfits we wear or eating food, most of the time if the food we eat looks good like commercials we at least try because it looks good, even looking at buildings we walk into everyday its all art.

Ultimately art is good because it makes life worth living. For example in the picture below to actually go see nature like this in real time would be amazing. I think it would take some effort to get in the exact spot which would be struggle meaning the movement the money etc and the payoff would be seeing this taking it all in.  Art.

I think art is great for commutation as well because like I said in a recent post about commutation, things can be look at in different ways.  So the challenge to talk or express what you are trying to say would be fun using art. For example when talking to anyone whether it’s an interview or anyone you like you don’t want the conversation to be boring. If it is then most likely the conversation is not going to last long and you won’t get the job or the person you like to like you back because of a lack of fun, creativity, or art.  So showing art will only make life better because you would be force to be better at it so you can get the things you want in life due to art.

Memes are not just self expression I think because it can be use for other things like politics.

I will never forget I was about 10 or 11 years old and I saw this picture in the newspaper and I thought this guy was great and helpful to the people of America. Little did I know this is someones uncle sam that is collecting money from everyone to call help with things in America. I have different views on it now but memes can be used in different ways not just self expression even when you go on Imgur or giphy there are different category of memes for different things.

Memes can be used for storytelling. Perfect example is me making the memes for this post.
Me putting my work together for this post

I crafted my experience using memes that had words in them that connected my narrative and if it did not have words I added it to them.

Professor Michael Smith introduced me to the DS106 Assignment Repository many many years ago..

I am glad that he did!

Now that we are getting comfortable with publishing blog posts to our class website, embedding media like images, GIFS, videos and hyperlinks, it’s time to push things further with content creation and deciding on how you will go about it.

Prof. Smith wrote the following in a blog post from a previous semester;

“In CT-101 you will have the opportunity to create many, many different pieces of media throughout the semester. Inspiration for these projects can come from a number of places. Two great websites that inspired this class and are hosted by a digital storytelling class at the University of Mary Washington.

One, is their ds106 assignment repository which has project prompts that are categorized by a variety of media types (visual, design, audio, video, mashup, writing, fanfic, and animated gifs). Visitors can browse through and sort by most examples completed, most viewed, newest, and more..

The second, is also a site known as the daily create which gives a daily project prompt to “make something” using various types of media.

Finally, you, yourself can also find a particular website that has a media piece and/or project type of interest to you (Tumblr and/or Reddit can be fun for this – Photoshop Battles is a favorite of mine.

Do you know of one? If so, share that link here!

*The ASSIGNMENT – (assignment #4)

In a New Blog Post this Week – Let us address and execute the following:

Browse through the mentioned websites above (ds106 & daily create) and find two projects that you think you would like to do. One that you believe you already have the skills to do – or you believe you could figure out on your own. And another (hopefully of a different media type) you don’t know how to do yet and would like to learn. Working from the DS106 site, the Daily Create site or otherness – select, describe and hyperlink to two assignments/project ideas and tell us why you’ve chosen them. What do you think you’d need learn to do them? How many of these kinds of projects do you think you should be doing in this semester so that you might learn and build both emergent storytelling skills and use new tools to create them? Why do you think these skills are or are not important? Be sure to narrate your steps and support your descriptions with screen shots of the process. Be sure to actually complete one of the assignments and add it into your blog post.

***Also, be sure to leave a comment or two on one or more of your classmate’s blog posts! Prof. Seslow will go over an example in our class time and screen record the process.

Assignment # 2 New communication Gifs

Assignment # 2 New Communication Gifs

To gifs or not to gifs, that is what has come of us today. How to gif and show your personality?

Thinking Reaction GIF by SpongeBob SquarePants

Many platforms can help make gifs, the top2 websites are Giphy and Imgur. For me making an account on Imgur was easier than Giphy was. For me that made me choose Imgur over Giphy right away less of a headache.  For some odd reason on the website there was an issue saving my password. Other than that I was making a gif on Imgur but where I wanted to start and end the gif gave me trouble. After giving it a good effort I gave up and I went to giphy. On their website to do the gif I wanted the start and end time making the gif was less 1,2,3 easy.  So making the gif is more easy than on Imgur.

Good blogging is when there is a Gif. Having an blog with out a gif is like a newspaper article without a picture very rare I read it, only if I had to or if its about something I needed then I would read it.

Gifs are away of life, its part of us because millions of people are on social media and social media can not keep going without Gifs and memes. There is a saying  I said it in my first post, “the internet is undefeated

Its Pretty much  a new language that people can understand without any words just like sling words becoming part of the dictionary.  But at the same time there is another saying that says “a picture is worth a 1000 words” I say that to say one group of people can see a picture and think one way. While there are other people that think just the opposite of the same picture. Perfect example the picture at the top is used to say the internet is undefeated but in reality Muhammad Ali actually has 5 losses in his career.

Floyd Mayweather is actually undefeated in boxing so he should been the picture I used for the internet being undefeated. So to answer the question yes gifs can tell a story, but I would say to be clear with the story you want to tell maybe should use more than one gif, as well as an explanation.

Starting the first class as soon as I sat down I was not into it just because its the first class. But when the professor started to just talk and tell us about himself and how the class is set up and everything is recored I started to think this class is not bad at all.

Ill Be Back Jim Carrey GIF

When the professor was explaining  the course and its creative content. I felt like there was a chance of me getting an A in the class. I actually always wanted to make my own memes but I never took the steps to make my own.

Comparing this class to other classes is like asking a kid do they want to eat cook vegetables that mom made or McDonalds. It’s obvious the answer is McDonalds.  Mostly all other professors main focus is getting through the syllabus to say they did their job. This professor is connecting to the students then working with them to get through the syllabus. I just feel a difference.

The creative potentials to this class is endless and its really up to me and the class to where this class can go in creativity. But for me doing these assignments and what I find funny reminds me of peter  from family guy. Because my thinking is either block because I don’t use my creative side anymore or something I think is funny thats not funny to others or it may not be appropriate.

learning new skills that use Internet tools is one of the best I things we should be learning because everything in this world is technology base or moving in that direction. So doing the post I feel smart but I think after the class I am going to go back to my old ways and not always using technology with creativity involve.

Assignment #3: ARe MeMeS ArT???

Are memes art?? Hoenstly I was stumped when Ryan asked us that. Some would say no but personally, I would say yes. First off this is once again the best class ever because memes for homework!??!? What professor ever asks for something like that!!

Most professors are asking us for papers and exam 1 study guides around this time so for this class to be about self expression and memes…Shutup and Take My Money meme

As for memes, they have a long history which goes back as far as 1939 with the Keep calm and carry on meme. The origin of the word meme was also something I didn’t know until now but the fact that it stemmed from a greek word was not surprising. What did surprise me was that dank memes where considered a sub category of memes. I always though of them as just collections of memes unique to ones taste so it feels like I gained some knowledge from the articles we read.

Doing my own research on the topic only strengthened my opinion on the matter. It is true that memes are the medium of the internet which makes it an art form because of its simple use to convey messages. Most people that see memes know the context because the internet is so vast that if you browse even casually, you’ve most likely come across a viral meme or two. Because of this, there are even artists who use memes as art exhibits like the grumpy cat art exhibit we got to read about in the digital trends article.sir grumpsalot

I found another example of this online also, a puerto rican artist who made an entire gallery exhibit of memes.

But when it comes to the topic at hand, memes are art. Think about it, if art is subjective and up to interpretation then yeah memes are art hands down. Besides, your not gonna tell me that the Everything is Markiplier meme isn’t art, I mean look at this guy.

Everyone Looks Like Markiplier... - YouTube

That’s only one of my favorite memes but anyone whose ever heard of markiplier and seen taken or shrek can still see the resemblance and get the joke. Another would be the mocking spongebob meme.

Spongebob chicken meme | Spongebob memes, Mocking spongebob, Spongebob chicken meme

I love the spongebob memes because I feel like they were a way for most of us to keep our childhood favorites relevant as we grew up. My last meme is a  more recent one, the will byers crying meme.

Will Byers from Stranger Things crying : r/MemeTemplatesOfficial

With the hold that Stranger Things is about to have on the internet due to spooky season, a meme from season 4 seemed like a great addition. I would consider all of these memes art because they are all staples that can give context to the state of the internet at the time they were made. Memes are art, a form a digital art to be specific, but art none the less.

Assignment #2 – My Last First Day of School

My Last First Day of School

What did you think on the first day of the CT101?

On the first day of CT101, I experienced some anxiety. I had no idea what to anticipate. Although it is well outside of my area of expertise, I thought it would be a fun subject to take as an elective during my final semester. Unbeknownst to me, I had a friendly deaf professor who understands the pressure and ridiculous demands of many other professors. He is the first professor I have ever had who is deaf but he is also the best professor I have ever had in my four years at York. Since my nerves had disappeared by the end of class, I had the impression that this was going to be an enjoyable class. It is good to have a lecturer that encourages students to express themselves.

Did you like hearing about the course and its creative content? How did it make you feel?

The potential for a student to express themselves is something that is lacking from many courses, but this course has a lot of originality, and I love it. It’s a place where I can just be myself without having to worry about anything, unlike many of my other classes.

How does CT101 compare to some of your other classes so far?

This is not only my favorite class this semester, this is my favorite class for all my four years. I truly believe it will be hard to bet especially with me only having one semester left after this. This class allows me time to breathe rather than all my other courses I’ve taken. I’m always stressed in my other classes because there’s always some kind of issue either with the professor or the deadline of an assignment is always changing but they’re never on the blackboard when they’re supposed to be. This class I get to express myself through gifs and memes. I get to tell my stories and learn how to upgrade my knowledge on digital tools to express myself freely. There will be no class better than CT 101 in my opinion.

What are the creative potentials of this class?

This class has endless potential. The ability to learn how to tell stories using various digital technologies is limitless. Learning new abilities is thrilling and enjoyable at all times. I can use this class to better the skills I already know and love. I am currently working to set up my own photography business and this class is just helping me get that much closer to my goal.

How do you feel about learning new skills that use Internet tools?

I am always eager to pick up new abilities. Why not learn how to use some online tools to express oneself, especially given how frequently we use the internet these days. I can’t wait to learn more. Learning how to use hyperlinks and create gifs was fun and informative.

How do you say it / pronounce it? Gi-f or Ji-f?

I will forever say Ji-f since the first time I heard it. It will now and forever be a soft g never the hard g no matter what anyone says to me that is the end of the battle. NO MORE ENOUGH IS ENOUGH.

ct 101 meme

Memes became a big part of the internet. It is definitely art and a big way of expressing yourself as opposed to posting statuses.  I would say they are a good and bad form of communication. It is a good form of communication because it can come off comedic or tell information in a more relatable way. It may be more effective for younger people or older people with a specific set of humor.

It may be a bad form of communication because it is not able to tell information in depth. Memes are not an effective way to teach.

This is how I felt on the first day of class

The room amazed me LOL

Memes can be used for storytelling and add spice to stories.

When some students talk i hope the teleprompter or whatever it is called hears them perfectly for the professors sake. 🙂

I love technology. The fact that technology is advancing every year and becoming a big form of way of life, communicate, educate…etc, this class is highly recommended.

This is probably the best reason as to why I would say i love this class. Some professors add unnecessary stress to students and enjoy doing it, not keeping into consideration that we may be juggling 5-6 classes at once.

THANK YOU FOR READING.

me omw to make a ct101 post

Do you believe memes are apart of art?

Since the internet has a lot of people often very opinionated you can form your own thoughts similar to how this article gave both povs.

In my own opinion memes are undoubtedly forms of art as you need to think and come up with something funny interesting and appealing to a niche minority but more so life imitates art and vice versa.

This picture is a great example of how a point in time of our lives will be cemented for a long time due to memes and being portrayed past just technological means.

Similar to more mainstream versions of art there are a variety of options when creating memes as its based on the communities you are apart of as well as context and sense of humor.

This might be more your style or maybe you prefer the nuked style.

Regardless of your opinion our meme preference I have to say memes are definitely art pieces regardless of effort needed or style because they make me laugh and are better than that banana with duct tape.

we #love memes on this side

The big question, are memes really art?

After doing some research about this question, I learned different points of views that made me question if memes should really be considered as art. Ive came to the conclusion that…. YES OF COURSE

Art grows adjacent with time. As time progresses and things change around the world, so does art both in a technological way and a societal way. This article that I read showed from thecourseonline made a great point that if we just have one standard to what art is, then it creates a hierarchy and any art that doesn’t fit into that becomes undesirable which ignores the creators definition of art.

So yes, that being said, memes is a form of art. There is not a single category that everyone has to follow to be considered art. Art can vary due to culture, environment, time etc.

Another article forms newsrecord further support and explains what i just discussed.  Art expresses any topic in the modern age that expresses any emotion or to inform certain issues in society.

In my opinion, memes are amazing for art. Its an awesome way to communicate emotions, societal issues really anything in a fun way. Memes is a universal language almost, just by an expression from the meme communicates what we might feel. Its such a good way to bring others together (which is exactly what art does!)

I don’t see how memes are bad for art. Everyone expresses/communicates differently. And art is now a new way added to the list.  There is plenty of art that I just don’t understand/like..but that doesnt mean those pieces aren’t art. Some people might feel like its easier to communicate in a humoristic way. As leo tolstoy says, “ “To evoke in oneself a feeling one has once experience and having evoked it in oneself, then by means of movements, lines, colors, sounds, or forms expressed in words so to transmit that feeling that others experience the same feeling, this is the activity of art.” If that’s the way one express oneself, it is art.

Here are my favorite memes saved in a special folder on my phone called “memes<3” LOL

I picked these four memes because honestly they have a special meaning to me.  Sadly I had a friend of mine pass away and these are just some of the four memes we would always send to each other. So not only do I genuinely find them funny and they are easy to use to react/communicate, but they have a sentimental meaning behind it.

Here are some memes i made

Yesterday is the past, today is all about MEMES!

Now to the question, are memes art? I jumped onto Google University to find some information to answer this question. This site says that memes do the same thing art does. It makes you feel happy, and it’s fun.

It's the same Thing! - George lopez | Meme Generator

Another site (click here)  said that “[a meme is a ]form of pop art and draws a parallel to Andy Warhol’s work, which often involved appropriating images from pop culture, not unlike the way memes are created today.” Basically confirming that MEMES are indeed art.

Before continuing, I must announce some very important news in the meme world. We found this meme in real life. Living and breathing. Watch the video to hear from him. He’s one of my favorite people to meme.

Now back to regular programming.

Memes are good for art. Meme artists can create anything to spread joy and happiness worldwide, especially on social media. Isn’t that the aim of art?

 meme

I am pretty sure communicating with memes is good. I don’t think it should replace a normal conversation though.

Happy Obama Meme meme

Again, memes allow people to express themselves. Even though not everyone will understand individual expressions, that’s alright. People should be allowed to express themselves in any way they like, especially if it’s a meme. If that’s how you feel will best represent your creative nature, then power to you! It can also be used as an escape from this messed up world. Just like how you go to Kevin Hart to hear jokes, you can pull up some memes on the internet and see the jokes, literally.

Honestly, this was my actual reaction when I  heard the use of memes in class and I don’t regret it. You see, last week our favorite  CT101 professor has introduced me to creating memes.

I will be very honest… I’ve been using the site to create memes a lot ever since he showed it.  I have created most inside jokes in my friend group but here are my favorite ones I made for this class.

Pretty good, right?

Anyways time for the important, ARE  MEMES ART??

Now for the straightforward answer. Yes, but there is something about memes as art is very interesting. If you look at the video below,  the person came to talk about memes’ relevance in art and came to points that I’ve been thinking about for years.

Not online memes are important in our society but in art as well, because back then not everyone couldn’t afford to learn how to read (crazy right?) so they would paint and express emotions as you can see with paintings of people with funny expressions.

It tells a story through its visual representation. Just like memes, most of the time they’re funny pictures but there are some that are connected to actual issues in society.

Were in a time when we can’t really see the story or meaning in a painting but we can express our feelings about it through memes. it is a part of our culture now and art is subjective. Heck, even NFTs are seen as art.

There could be a difference between memes and meme art, showing a visual story.

Memes are so underappreciated, only seeing it as a joke which is unfortunate.

Why thank you Bob for pointing out what I said. Anyways I would like to thank our professor Ryan Seslow for showing me to create our own memes.

WAIT!

I forgot to show some of my favorite memes, I just like showing some of my memes.

Okay, so that’s what ill show you, thank you guys for reading this blog! Till next time!!

This particular meme reminds me of my behavior at times while learning how to master certain functions on the computer. It can be quite intimidating at times for me. Are Memes a Form of Art?

Many people question if memes are a form of art. Let’s examine what is referenced about this matter by doing an internet search. This is what Google had to say: https://www.google.com/search?q=are+memes+a+form+of+Art&gs_ivs=1#tts=0

Not Sure if Meme or Artform · McKelvy Scholars Program · Lafayette College

Some may ask if memes can be used for story telling? I believe that they can. What’s so amazing is that memes can be personalized from one’s own gallery or platform. Many folks have done stunning art designs with the usage of memes. If done correctly, it may take the place of children’s fable stories and animation.  Is it not true that most children’s books and the funny papers display silly graphic visual art stimuli? It has been many decades that these two commodities have been desired. Just as the energizer bunny keeps going and going, memes too will share this aspect.  Actually; as I’m going along with this presentation, I am doing my best to tell  a story using memes.  Let me know what you think!!!

Serious Albert Einstein meme

So delightfully serious minded. Einstein was a creator, and all creations are a form of art. Satnavs and Google maps are two major inventions derived from Einstein’s discoveries. Satellite navigation system {satnavs} and smartphone map apps give us the quickest route to a destination of your choice.   https://www. thalesgroup.com>  Now ain’t that a kick in the head?

Now if the above memes are not a form of self expression, then I just don’t know what is. In every aspect of life, there is good and bad. The internet itself is a mighty tool that has done so much good for many. It is a fast paced tool that brings rewards and downfalls for individuals.

What is internet

During my last class, Professor Seslow introduced the class to memes and hyperlinks. I will not ever take credit away from my professors teaching capabilities, and I couldn’t even if I tried. Seslow is indeed just that good at what he does! Nonetheless, he has also instructed the class to use the internet if someone becomes confused or stuck with a task that is given in an assignment. Professor Seslow insists that we expand our techniques and skills of digital storytelling by the use of the internet. I think  that I’ll explore some more. Hey, that kinda rhymes. Massive Kool!!!!!

Meme Marketing Is Here to Stay - New Orleans Marketing & Advertising Agency

I believe that memes are here to stay and also play a very instrumental part in the art and marketing industry. When people were drawing on the sides of buildings, trains, etc., it was considered graffiti, and shunned for many years due to the lack of permission of its use.
