Memes are indeed art.
It’s used to express emotions, thoughts and spice up conversations. Some people ONLY express theirselves using memes and that is ok. It brings out a different kind of humor. It’s a good form of communication that brings out joy and laughter majority of the times. Someone who would tell a very long story in a thread would often use memes or gifs to make the texts more interesting.
What’s been keeping me active throughout the week and happy is the constant activities in the gym that I have been producing. Working out makes me really joyful and pleases my body in numerous ways as far as health wise. Watching people achieve their dream body goals also makes me happy on the internet, considering everyone tends to give up on that.

Assignment #9 – > (blogging details below)
This week in CT101 we will be focusing on getting everyone set-up with their new websites! The coupon code that you need was sent last week to your York college e-mail address (e-mail me if you did not receive it).
By now, many of you got started, you have a new domain name, a web hosting account, and a website framework ready to be built and customized! Ill be helping here with the customizing process of WordPress. This part will have multiple aspects to it. There is a lot to share, create and test. The process is fun and will take a few weeks as you make several visual and functionality decisions about how you would like your website to look. This will all play out in context to “how” you plan to use your new website.
So, how will you be using your new website?
Assignment #9 – This week lets dig into some of the customizing features that WordPress offers as we begin to design our new websites. What did you work on? Did you create a series of new pages? Did you remove default content from your theme? Did you create a category or two? Lets publish a NEW blog post that shares a narrative statement about your process and discoveries, as well as HOW you will be using your new website as we go forward. You can publish this post on the CT101 class site. Please dont forget to embed various pieces of media (images, screenshots, gifs, hyperlinks) and also share contextual content to help expand your post.
**For example, there are many video tutorials on YouTube that share “how-to” videos for beginners, or customizing videos for the theme that you may be using, this is context 🙂
As your prof, I will continue to make and record class videos and also share some helpful curated content from the Internet. We will be discussing HOW we will all be using our websites individually, just to mention again 🙂

Im going to focus on using one of the popular WordPress themes called: “Twenty Twenty-Twenty-One” ( or Twenty Twenty) – these themes are extremely versatile and are great for wordpress newbies and beginners. I highly suggest that you consider using one of these themes. All themes are different, and many of them out there promoted on the Internet are not free (plus, its always helpful to start with a theme that has a good amount of video documentation that already exists.)

Creativity is the ability to create ideas or possibilities that may be useful in solving problems, communicating with others, and entertaining ourselves rather than imitating. In simple words, creativity is simply transforming someone’s ideas, imagination, and dreams into reality.
The immediacy of an event or situation is the quality that makes something seem important or interesting because it is or seems to be happening at the present time.
Intuition is having the ability to understand or know something without any direct evidence or reasoning process, although some people simply consider it as a gut feeling.
Every single person has his own perspective of being alive, which mostly depends on the circumstances of life. For me, being alive means not just having a life, breathing or existing instead of living life full of spirit, enjoying small moments of happiness with family and friends. As long as you’re alive you have to have a purpose in your life. Being alive also means being conscious of what do you expect from life and what are the goals that you want to accomplish. Without that consciousness, life becomes meaningless for people. I believe reading books, being thoughtful, and staying close to nature help people enhance their consciousness, therefore they can easily figure out the purpose of life and live life with contentment.
I am passionate about spreading kindness and positivity among people. Whenever I look at my surroundings, I see no one’s life is perfect, they’re fighting their own battle for life. But what hurt me the most, when I see people from third world countries are suffering because of poverty, hunger, and lack of healthcare opportunities. For example, here we are wasting tons of food every single day, whereas, on the other side of the world, people are starving to death. I want people to take these issues seriously and come forward to solve this problem. I really want to help people according to my ability but what holds me back is that I cannot fully trust those fund-raising organizations. I know people do lots of charities, but it barely reaches those needy people. If we become kinder and could trust people, this world would have been a better place. I might be wrong, maybe I should not judge people based on a few fraud cases.
My experience of working with mmm.page is amazing! It was a pretty quick and smooth experience. I could easily add text and style them. Also, I easily hyperlink my today’s assignment there. Before I started this assignment I watched this domain name check list video to hopefully get some ideas. It was tailored more towards business websites but it was still informative.
Coming up with ideas for my website was hard enough but then came the time to think of domain names which was even harder. Then making sure they were available was the hardest part. I used WhoIs.com to check to see if any of the domain names I chose were ‘unoccupied’ which was super frustrating because they usually were which meant they had to be heavily modified or scrapped altogether.
I’ve managed to conjure up two main ideas for what my website could potentially be:
A basic blog site; I’d post weekly updates sort of like a web journal about things I felt, realized, thought about or learned during the previous week. Although I’d mainly be writing about myself, I think it’d be cool to leave a prompt or ask a question at the end of every post to spark some sort of conversation (similar to our class assignments).
A website based on music; Each post would consist of songs I love, discovered or listened to during the week before and I’d ask for any suggestions based on what I posted. I’ve been trying to broaden my musical horizons lately so I thought this would be a fun concept.
One of my favorite websites recently has been Heardle.com; it’s the music equivalent to Wordle.

I think I’m too indecisive of a person to pick one topic and stick to it so I have settled on fusing together all the ideas I had. The website will be about any and everything that I think of or feel like talking about at the time of posting. It’d be like playing ‘topic roulette’ each week to decide what to write about. One week the post could be about art and the other it could be about school but it would always be 100% authentic.
I didn’t really want to include my name in the domain name but it was a lot easier to find one that incorporated my last name because it’s an uncommon spelling. I used ‘spot’ and ‘corner’ because the site will be my own little place on the internet and I have my dad to thank for the ‘bronco’, it’s my favorite nickname I’ve ever had so it felt right to include it.
For the first assignment, I decided to go with ‘Guess The Story’. For this, I am instructed to use at least 5 GIFs, along with several hints to tell a myth, legend, or folklore. All the conditions can be seen as follows here. The following myth is one that was actually has a lot of ties internet, so it actually pairs pretty well with said project.
Hint 1: Has a survival horror video game based on the myth
Hint 2: Has had news articles written about said myth
Hint 3: One of the older myths conceived on the internet
For this assignment, I will be taking one of my favorite shows and create 4-6 GIFs from it. All the instructions can be seen as follows here. The show I will be using is called Mr.Robot. The show follows the unreliable protagonist ‘Elliot Alderson’ who is a programmer who works as a cyber security engineer by day, but is also a vigilante hacker by night. He then finds himself in a bit of a dilemma when a mysterious leader of an underground hacker group recruits him to take down the very firm he works for. Mr.Robot takes place in New York City as well as various places on Long Island. It is a drama/psychological thriller.
(Little fun fact to throw at the end here. Every bit of code/virus shown on the show is real! There are no green screens on any of the computer monitors. The director wanted every code to be as authentic as possible so they utilized them within controlled virtual environments.)
For someone who felt that registering their domain was a feeling, no one or nothing could ruin-I was oh so wrong. For a process that seemed quite easy if I do say so myself, I had a pretty difficult time. I went into the registering process excited and happy that my name was available and that everything seemed so simple. To my dismay, I was mistaken.
Everything was going smoothly until I saw the words promotion code. Thinking all I had to do was log into my email click copy and paste and yayyyy domain time was the first set of inconveniences. “Why is that?” You may ask. Well, there was no promotion/coupon code in my email. I knew this wasn’t the biggest deal knowing all I had to do was email professor Seslow and ask but when something that is supposed to only take 5 minutes to complete ends up taking much longer, it’s kind of a buzzkill.
After receiving and inserting my coupon code and clicking complete order, I thought wow that was so easy. Now all I have to do is wait for my activation link. So I did exactly that. Waited. And waited. And waited. A day passed and I still received no email-not even in my spam. Maybe I signed up with my personal email I told myself knowing that was completely untrue but decided to check anyway. After receiving no activation link in my personal email (shocker) I then had to send out another email to Professor Seslow and then another to the reclaiming host help desk. Luckily, I received assistance in a timely manner and solved the issue. “Well…what was it?!” You may be thinking. That’s the part I’m getting to right now. APPARENTLY, my order never went through meaning my domain was never registered. Although it was frustrating to hear, I was relieved at the same time now that I could register again and make sure my order is complete. 
Nonetheless, overthinkersanonymous.net is officially a go and I couldn’t be happier. From that point on, setting up web hosting and WordPress was a breeze compared to registering. Overall, I’d give my experience a 2/10 for the registering process but I am confident to say that my blogging and setting up experience will be a 10/10. 
I was thinking of creating a website that showcased some of the cuisine from my home country. Because I’m Nigerian and adore cooking, having a website where I can share my Nigerian recipes is amazing. It was a breeze to set up my domain with Reclaim Hosting! I instantly began checking the availability of my domain after accessing the sign-up page. Cookwitheliz.org was my domain name because I wanted people to feel like we’re all in this together. It’s wonderful that it’s now available.
I then authenticate my account by entering the required information and using the offered promo code.I finished the order and checked my email for my account details and an email verification. I download WordPress. Please visit my website, cookwitheliz.com, even though I have not yet added anything to it. It is quite great to have my own website.
The procedure of registering a domain name and installing WordPress was actually quite simple. Despite though I had to go back and watch the tape to make sure I didn’t click on the incorrect thing. I was extremely careful while filling out my information and the coupon section since I didn’t want to pay, but everything went according to plan.
To be honest, this process was not difficult thanks to the professor’s demonstration of the zoom video, which was quite helpful. I would have been perplexed if I hadn’t seen the zoom recording. I didn’t really made any mistake but re-watching the recording made the procedure more easier and more enjoyable.

IP addresses are difficult to recall and are subject to change. We employ human-readable addresses known as domain names to overcome all of these issues. I’ve had a few domain name suggestions.
I was considering building a website that showcases some of my country’s cuisine. I’m Nigerian, and I enjoy cooking, so having a website where I can share my recipes for Nigerian cuisine is fantastic.
With the help of a simple website, I can take images of my food and show them off to the rest of the world. Not only is a website useful for this, but it may also serve as a reminder of how far I’ve progressed in my cooking abilities and how I’ve improved my skill set.
Food.com is now my favorite website since it accurately depicts the firm, its products, services, and, ultimately, its brand. As a result, being aesthetically attractive, polished, and professional is critical. The site, in my opinion, should appeal to both searchers, who are looking for something specific and browsers, who are just looking about. By offering relevant information and eliminating dead ends, you may help visitors accomplish their activities quickly while also keeping them engaged. Make it simple to become involved by providing various points of contact, such as phone, email, social media, and maybe a simple contact form. A Google map is a nice touch. Above all, make sure this information is easily accessible on a contact page, if not on every page of your website.
Sisiyemmie is one of my favorite websites. She writes about the cuisine she makes as well as her family and other topics on her blog. This website appeals to me since it appears to be a fantastic blog concept, especially because she is Nigerian.
I have never thought I would ever create a domain or a website which is crazy that I will. At first I didn’t understand what a domain was because I assumed it was a website but it isn’t. It’s basically the name of the URL of my website which people will type to access my site. Which again is so exciting and cool.
My website will be about me basically what I like, do and my schedule. I think it would be cool to discuss things that are happening in the world or in my life. It will kinda be like commentary and vlog about my life documenting what’s happening. It will be an open ended site because I want to do it all and not confine to one aspect. That’s why the internet was created so people can make anything they want.
I am excited that i will be a website owner because it will expand my knowledge on the internet. It can also lead to job opportunities which could help me become a successful tech person. I also want to learn how to create one so if a friend needs help I can be like an advisor and help them create a website or any tech related help.
I am a little scared I might not like the domain name I have to settle on. I am very indecisive so I might worry I won’t like it but I cannot think that way because I know I will do a good job. I’m also worry I will not understand how to keep up with this process of creating a website but with the help of Professors I know I can do it.
Two websites I am always on are Youtube and Instagram. I like Youtube because it is such a diverse website to see any type of video from anywhere. It also allows me to listen to music or catch up with daily events. Instagram is also a cool way to keep up to date with friends or just to see anything that is trending in the world right now. It is crazy that the internet can let me know about anything at any moment because of how expansive it is.

Hello, guys It’s time to pick a Domain Name for my website. But however, I need to fully understand the process and the true meaning of what a Domain Name is? domain name is a string of characters that identifies a realm of administrative autonomy, authority, or control on the Internet. Domain names are used in a variety of networking contexts as well as for application-specific naming and addressing.
Ok the tricky part for me is to pick the domain name for my website. Names can be a struggle for me because I’m not that creative with creating cool website names so this domain name creation for me can be a struggle and I will try my best to come up with a few that may be interesting. But however, I felt the need to go with what I know best and enjoy is Gaming and Sports
One of my favorite websites I visited almost every day is ESPN.com one of the core websites of sports following cable companies, I usually use the APP to view all scoreboards and news of all the pastiming sports.
So I thought to myself why not use one of my domain names to be ZSPN.com and replace the E with Z because of the first letter of my name.
Another website I like is Youtube without which I can’t access the information that I need, this is the place for me to watch all of the videos that are valuable to me and is a site that shows things and creative adventures of life. I would like to create something like a Youtube website and display gaming and sports blogs with some kind of video feature.
Twitter is up there for me because of the daily events of news, sports, and politics. This is the place that has everything. I like to have friendly debates by tweeting back and forth with people around the world on certain matters that involve sports and politics and especially sports

Assignment #8 Registration.
Potential Logo.
My experience setting my domain on reclaiming hosting was kind of alright, I ran into some issues here and there and I actually needed to Email the support, but at the end I manage to get everything done and download WordPress.
The first Issue that I met was that there was not a cPanel for me, therefore I had to contact IT support in order to get my panel, at the end I was told that I needed to activate my domain which I did and got cPanel, after that I downloaded WordPress and which yet again I ran into another issue.
Whenever I try to download WordPress I get the same Result, and at the moment I have not been able to fix it, plus I have not found a way to contact support for WordPress such as an Email, I have look into the forums and yet have not found any information about how to fix an installation error for WordPress, therefore I’m now stuck if there is anyone who can help me I will be thankful for.
News: My issues have been fixed Hosting contacted me and asked me if everything was fine, and I told them about the WordPress issues and they solved it and now I’m ready to use WordPress.
Creating my domain on Reclaim Hosting was super easy!
Upon opening the sign-up portal, I quickly got to work on checking the availability on my domain. As I mentioned in my previous post, I wanted my domain to stick to my name: paolaacsta.com. Pretty simple, and clean. I had a feeling this would be available just because my name isn’t so common, and I was right.
After getting approved and filling out the information, I verified my email and quickly installed WordPress, through C-Panel, following the steps and tutorial provided by Professor Seslow. (Of course, this isn’t WordPress itself but the open source version of wordpress.org.)
After easily finishing up all the steps, I got a first look at what my website looked like, even though it is the sample template used for everyone!
My overall experience was smooth and simple. From creating my domain, to setting up my web hosting account, to installing WordPress. I can’t wait to begin my design and get working on the cool projects on my website.
To be quite honest, choosing a domain name for my website will be quite easy as I’ll most likely stick to using my real name. I want something that’ll be easy to use and type, looks kind of professional, and will really sum up everything that my website will be about: me.

My goal with my blog is to share and talking about anything from books to music, politics, social issues, journalism (as that is my major), fashion, movies, etc. These are things that I’m very passionate about and can definitely go into detail about on my blog.
Some of my favorite websites include Pinterest, Twitter, Tumblr, and Youtube. All of these create a space for anything to be discussed or shown. Different ideas, topics, opinions, and that’s also the kind of platform I’d like to create on my website.
Something that I worry about, however, is figuring out the kind of design I want to do on my website and how the lengthy the process might be of creating it. I want it to look appealing to viewers; vibey and pleasing to look at to really draw them in and I think doing that will be hard to achieve.

as creativity. In simple terms, the ability to create something is call Creativity. Creativity enables us to see and solve challenges in a more open and innovative manner. The mind is opened through creativity. A culture that has lost touch with its creative side is imprisoned, and generations of people may be closed-minded as a result. It broadens our horizons and might assist us in overcoming biases.
Immediacy is the the ability to draw one into immediate and direct engagement with something, causing a sense of urgency or excitement.
Intuition is the ability to understand something without resorting to analytic thinking, bridging the gap between our conscious and unconscious minds. Even if it defies examination, intuition provides a decrease in total cognitive load and the capacity to respond swiftly while offering confidence in our knowledge and decision-making.
Creativity + Intuition + Immediacy = Universe
Using mmm.page was really fun. In this assignment, my concept is about our imagination. I think in our life imagination pays a good roll. Since we are born our imagination leads us to become something in life. we’re all born curious, creative, and imaginative. When we were a kid we wanted to be like Superman, Spider-man or Betman. As we grow up our imagination get change. Imagination and innovation are really important in science, without imagination, science would never ever have existed. Knowledge without imagination is nothing, imagination helps scientists to encircle the world, take an overview look, it acts like a wing that takes thoughts to the sky. We shouldn’t stop imagination because we never know what tomorrow will bring.
