Music! Who isn’t a fan of music? It can be used for every occasion and it can set the mood for everything. As someone who listens to a lot of music, I decided to dedicate my website to albums.
First I had to think of a domain name. Luckily the first one I thought of alllaboutthatalbum was available. Honestly, the rest of the process was pretty easy.
After picking a domain name I then was able to check out.
I have quite a few ideas for a domain name, but I’m not sure which one will have the biggest impression.
I’ve never done anything like making my own website before so this is certainly challenging. Here are some of my ideas for a domain name:
myaquaticpeace: I’ve always considered water to be such a powerful force. It literally brings life to people as easy as it can take it. I also find peace in the ocean.
seveleven: With my middle name being Seven, one of my nicknames was sev, or seven eleven, and I wanted to find a way to combine those two
brightstarlight: I have the name starlight in most of my social media handles so I just wanted to find a way to incorporate it here. It’s also named after one of my favorite songs
intotheorbit: Ever since I was a kid I was always fascinated with the concept of space so this is kind of an homage to that.
On my website, I want to include all of my interests in there. such as music, anime, books, african folklore etc. I want in to sort of be an aesthetically pleasing look into my brain and the things that I like. I’m a bit nervous as to whether or not I’ll be able to properly put together a website. I don’t want it to look unpleasant to the eye so I’m going to give it all that I’ve got.
Time for the good stuff. Creating an interning cohesive website other people would enjoy as much as me. The first thing I did was change the website color and font size, quickest and easiest thing todo right as you begin the creation process
When thinking of a domain name I would want to pick something music related. Some ideas I have are:
1. Allaboutthatalbum
2. Musicaldeepdive
3. Myfavoritealbum
4. Artistandthebeat
Since I want my website to be about albums by artist enjoy I want the domain name to have music or artist in the title. I would like to talk about the themes of the album, inspirations and anything else I find interesting.
I can’t believe it’s the middle of the semester already. I remember starting this class not too long ago.
I finished most of my assignments so I would say I’m doing good. I could participate more in class. I have been catching up on the work I was missing so I should be able to get it all done in time.
During this class, I learned how to make memes and how to make blog posts using the commons. I also learned how to use different websites like Imgur, giphy, and mmm.com
Something I have noticed in my weekly posts is that my formatting has gotten better.
My favorite assignments are assignment four passion and the third assignment are memes art?
I think I maintaining a solid b because I did most of the assignments so far and I have been absent less than nine times. I still have some assignments to do after this post so hopefully, when I’m done with that I can get a B+.
I’ve noticed that my post has changed over time. My first post was only 90 words and I only had one to two-sentence answers for each question. In my more recent post, I now have longer answers and I am more detailed in those answers. I also noticed that the gifs I use are a lot more concise with my post than compared to the first one.
The assignments that I am missing are assignments 8, 9, and 10.
As for commenting and responding to posts I have responded to comments on my post however, I have not commented on a lot of other people’s posts.
I haven’t participated much during class because I mostly used my time to work on ct posts.
I will try to comment more on other posts.

What does being alive mean to you?
Being alive means experiencing the moment you’re in right now. It’s to be aware of your exitance and the world around you.
What is the creative potential of my awareness of this moment, and how may I intervene?
At this moment I could do a lot of creative things big or small. I could work on one post on my blog or all of them.

For this assignment, I used https://mmm.page/, It was easy to make an account and get started.

Could I have handled everything better? Absolutely. I’m not trying to use my setbacks as excuses, the blame does also fall on me for not being better with my time and making sure that I was prepared for the worst eventualities. But you know as they say, you live and learn.
I am genuinely apologetic for how little I was able to participate in this class. I was, and still am, grateful for the avenue of creative expression it afforded me, and I wish I could have had more time to focus on it, but I was teetering on the knife’s edge of burnout pretty much from the first couple of weeks, and I want to believe that I did my best despite the circumstances. Maybe I’m just being too kind to myself, but hey, it’s my self-reflection post and I get the final say.
Getting to learn to design a wordpress website was very fun, and you can find mine here. I wanted a space to store all of my writing and planning for my DnD groups, a hobby I am very much looking forward to getting back into now that I’ll have some blessed free time over the summer. I kept my design very simple and minimalist, both out of laziness and because I think that it suits me and my aesthetic.
I’m currently in the process of transcribing my writing digitally, and I’ll get them uploaded to the site once I’m over the last hurdle of finals.
Here’s a collection of the assignments I completed over the semester. 7 onwards had to be rushed over the last week or so, because once I recovered from my triple whammy of Covid, Bronchitis and Ear infection, I was desperately scrambling to catch up with all of my other classes and final assignments and making sure I come out of this semester without failing miserably.

All I know is that I am VERY happy that this semester is coming to an end, and I’m desperately looking forward to getting more than 4 hours of sleep a night.

To start with, I wanted to have something… fancy, yet cozy. The vibe of a study in a Victorian Era mansion, you know what I mean? But that proved to be very difficult. I browsed through pinterest and found a few pictures and stuff to serve as backgrounds, but anything I uploaded was just extremely blurry because the images were stretched out across the whole screen, and that wasn’t very appealing to me.
So, I decided to get more minimalist, something dark and stylish instead. I had some success there, I think. I’m a sucker for stuff that’s super simplistic and utilitarian, and I think it looks great!
I’m currently in the process of transcribing my writing from a notebook into digital text so I can upload them onto the website, and have it serve as an informal portfolio and a place I can come back to when I want to reread what I’ve done before and cringe at myself.

Rn Ct 101 is good so far. I did have a couple of ups and downs but we are cooking!!!
I think if I had to name one thing that I retained the most from this class was how to make hyperlinks. I feel that this was the most beneficial thing to learn for our blog posts From this class I have learned how to hyperlink, insert gifs and media , learned how to photoshop on photopea and create a website.
Right now I believe that I am retaining a b- for the simple fact that I waited so long to get to this blog post lol. Also my attendance has not been there really since the first couple of classes because the professor said that attendance isn’t mandatory (did not have to tell me twice )And I think that I deserve that grade because my quality of work has been showing improvement since our first blog post so I believe that I have gotten better and learned a lot
As of this moment I am only missing 1 more blog post and which is the final blog post and I am all up to date on this class . As for comments I have also been commenting to my fellow classmates and taking in all of their kind words and experiences to make my own better

Some thing that I am passionate about in this world is Apex Legends. Apex Legends is a one-of-a-kind and fast-paced battle royale experience. what got me into apex was about a couple of days after the game first came out a friend of mines told me to download and play this new shooter game, and at the time I was a heavy Fortnite call of duty player so I downloaded it. the game was so strange to me because it was a fusion of games like overwatch and battle royal type games. I evenly kept playing and got really good at it and am currently still playing after 17 long seasons. this game re ignited my passion for uploading content to my YouTube and as so here is a video of my gameplay for you guys :).
War is OVER. The semester is finally finished. As a college freshman, one year went by so quickly. This semester finished way quicker than the first one. But CT101…you will have a special place in my heart for real. The flexibility of this class and being able to creatively express myself felt like a breath of fresh air compared to my other classes. I can say I really enjoyed that I had to channel many creative ideas to make my blog posts. Before I used to hold back on letting my creative ideas flow because I didn’t want to be seen as “extra” but thanks to this class I’m over that. I’ll let my creative ideas flow where ever and whenever.
In my Mid-Semester Recap blog post, I mentioned that I took this class to see if I would enjoy communications as a major. This class gave me a great first impression but I sadly don’t see myself pursuing this in the future. However, with all the great things I’ve learned and all the websites and tools I’ve been introduced to, I’ll definitely be using them in my daily life outside of school. Mostly when it comes to my Sims and editing any of my Sims photos, I will be going straight to Photopea. Photoshop aint free!
One of the major things I’ve learned is how easy it is to create your own website…Well, that’s AFTER you get your domain name and work on it outside of campus because the server is blocked on campus. But aside from all of that, it’s quite fun and easy. It’s funny though cause the hardest part was the customization. I was sort of confused but in the end, I succeeded.
For my website, I decided to go with a minimalistic approach. I didn’t want to do anything too crazy so I was simple with it. After I got the color scheme together I added some pictures to make the front page look more aesthetically pleasing. And I loved how it turned out. I call it “My Digital Diary”. Each picture represents what I’m going to post on my blog. So the headphones are about music, the computer is about gaming, and the bag of books is about the books I’m reading. I have three pages, one that tells you what my blog is about, and another one that directs you back to the homepage of my blog a navigation section. You can check the navigation which gives a short description of what each category is about. Also speaking of categories, if you want to navigate through each category without going back and forth to the navigation page, you can also click the categories at the top right of the screen. The reason I made three different is so people read what they are interested in without scrolling through my entire blog. For example, if you are only interested in games then you click on the gaming category and you’ll be able to see all the posts related to gaming. Here’s a quick overview:
In this class, I believe I deserve at least an A. In my past blog postings, I have continually put out my best effort to demonstrate innovation and uniqueness throughout the semester. Each piece was the result of significant research and a genuine interest in the subjects at hand. Not only did I work hard to complete the assignments, but I also went above and above to find other materials and websites that expanded my knowledge beyond the limits of the course. The improvement I have made is amazing.
